If there is a G2 style Fort Max I am *******. I will red haze on the spot then have no food for a month or two. -Ralph If this happens give me warning so I can evacuate the city in time! And get my own order in.

I can do that. Doctor Who taught me that 'space pressure' can make people mini-size so it's doable.

Already have a loose one, but can't resist minty fresh! I'll most likely order it from Hong Kong when it comes out, dreading the postage costs on the thing.

Mr Bogatan, if you're swinging by Iowa prior to Botcon 2013 you can have one sent here and I'll hang on to it till you get here. Alternately, if I can somehow wangle my way into making it out to Botcon 2013 I'll bring it along.
Also, I think I'm going to have to go for one of these.

I'd love one too, but, don't have the cash and don't have the room (according to Mrs Shockprowl, but she's got a point), so I'll have to settle for Green Giant, when Maketoys finally sort themselves out.

Price is way too high. Come on. RID FORT MAX did not cost this much I think.
Anyways - another problem is that Fortress Maximus is just way way too big - which would be ok if his fortress mode actually did more than just stand there - but it doesn't. I mean, there's really very little you can DO with it. The robot mode has limited articulation which, at that height, is just a waste of space...
But the main thing is the price - dag. I mean - I'd rather get Yamato's 1/3000 scale SDF-1 - it's not as big and has more detail...

Even if I had time, space and money I've never been all that tempted by a Fort Max. I would put him right near the end of the base-formers list (including most Micromaster bases), even - I find the colour scheme a bit bleh and the base mode doesn't look as interesting as Metroplex. On top of that, no fictional portrayal has ever endeared the character to me.
Grand Maximus scores more points for being more visually interesting and having a Pretender shell.

Fort Max is about £250 on Robot Kingdom with shipping to the UK.
As for anime Devastator, I like the barrel on Mixmaster, not overly keen on the new head. If I see it cheap enough I'll most likely pick it up and shift my normal colours Encore Devastator.

After some thought, I shall pass on Fort Max. I would have to save up over a few months and the effort of putting that much money aside is pretty daft when it could go towards a week away next Easter (a plan currently taking shape) which would benefit me more. Besides, I don't have the space for it, I still have my treasured Brave Max and I generally don't feel the urge to buy many TF toys anymore anyway. Still chuffed it is coming out though.

After initially baulking at the price I've pre-ordered Fort Max. Bases are my favourite type of TF and I've always wanted one. Everytime I got to a convention I think I'll finally get one but can't justify paying about £500 for a beat up original with all the guns missing. I figured if I don't get this reissue I'm basically saying I'll never own one so there it is.
My bum is already fearful of the undoubtedly gigantic CUTA action he will attract.
