If I can find it I'll take some.
I attached it to a junker Metroplex ages ago. Having never seen a photo of Metrotitan I painted it all blue. I remember being annoyed that Takara hadnt gone to the same trouble.

Eek! It's just occurred to me! This means we're that bit closer to Encore versions of those Japanese-only cassette combiners. Noizu and Grafi and thing and thing whatever their names are. I'm excited! So am I! I would love it if all the cassettes come out! -Ralph

Huh.
I started a thread yesterday which basically read, "how come no-one's mentioned the Encore Combaticons?"
I posted that because I hadn't found this thread. (I used the search function and nothing came up. Perhaps it was because of the exclamation mark.) Now I can't find my thread. Ho-hum. As long as people know about the reissue.

Sorry Nigel. I deleted your thread as it's standard practice not to have two threads on the same subject. I didn't mean to offend you so sorry about that.

Hang on, just checked HLJ there, 4000 Yen for the first set? £30??? Surely not? 4000 Yen isn't beyond the bounds of reasonableness for a re-release of vintage toys surely. Four cassettes together add up to a reasonable amount of toy for that price point I'd have said. Of course the fact that the Yen is about the only strong currency at the moment means that it doesn't look so good if you translate it into UK money right enough. Karl

No, none taken. I thought that was probably the case. Or else my computer was haunted because of appearing and disappearing threads (which happened with my goodies in stock thread yesterday, too.)

£30 for 4 shiny new cassettes seems reasonable. It would cost more to round up the originals.

Theres also a much older KO Metrotitan (mid 90's at least) that had a green dome on he chest below the head I picked up the remains of one a a carboot sale, just the head, chest helipad and arm were left. Despite its state it seemed like a good quality KO. Andy I have this knock off too. It's currently residing with my brother though. They were available in the mid 90s mainly in Spain / Italy. The green dome thing was mounted on silver plastic and the Decepticon stickers were redesigned slightly. The Quality was comparable to the original metroplex.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUthey couldn't have sat on the news for another month, could they? Bah, I say! Bah!
Good to see them coming out, though. Could this mean... one day... combining dinosaurs and dealers far more invested than I weeping bitter tears as the rest of TFdom rejoices?

Actually, as much as I love cassettes; this much is enough for now. I should prefer to pray to the Great Pumpkin to grant a reissue Devastator. I think it would only make sense what with ROTF out and it would also make for a wonderful fulfillment of the G1 Decepticons available. And I MUST get around to getting an Optimus Prime with proper smokestacks... I have the Hasbro Commemorative Series and can't STAND those things. On Ultra Magnus it makes little difference since I don't see him without the armor anyways - but on Prime...those small smokestacks are just terrible Pete
