Apparently, Takara-Tomy have been hosting Sunbow episodes on their Youtube channel. Originally there was no apparent order, but more recently they seem to have been picking episodes that showcase characters that are being released as Masterpiece figures. "A Plague of Insecticons" (where Sideswipe gets to use his pile-driver arms) was hosted just before Sideswipe came out. "Auto Bop" (Soundwave vs Blaster) around the original release date for Soundwave. "Auto Berserk" (Red Alert loses it) just before Red Alert's release. "Roll For It" (Prowl and Bluestreak get some rare screen time) was added just before Prowl and Bluestreak were announced. Takara-Tomy have just hosted "Traitor", and some folks on TFW2005 are flipping out about it.Your thoughts? -Nick

Interesting. Though the repaint potential of Mirage is slim.
That said, I guess you could get INVISIBLE MIRAGE as well.

If they do a Diaclone red Mirage I will explode.
I can see them doing "Actual Traitor Mirage" in Decepticon colours. As Crasher! That would cause even greater auto-detonation.

Seems like a bit of a stretch, but I love easter-eggy things like that. I'd go for an MP Mirage done to the same level as the other recent MPs, definitely.
I'm sure a clear plastic redeco would be in the works, at least as an exclusive, and a Diaclone homage as a new character would be a fine thing.

MP Mirage is third on my list of 'New MP Must Haves', after Megatron and Jazz. I think they'd do a good job with him.

What advertising logos would they put on a MP Mirage? Even though I despise smoking, the original G1 figure logos would be very nostalgic.

IIRC Recent TF Racecars have had ads for things based on in comic names like Witwicky Sparkplugs (Classics Mirage) & Blackrock Racing (PCC Litefoot)

I'm kind of bored of him, so if anybody wants I can sell him - I have some MISIB (mint in seeled invisible box) versions :-)

Ben mentioned MP Mirage rumours yestereday tmukhub.proboards.com/post/241104/threadEarlier this week I saw something highlighting features on a Mirage drawing, v similar to his animation model, which people were linking to a MP toy but can I find it now? If anyone can, I'd be grateful!

I think it was his animation model, just coloured. But the same sort of image for Inferno was leaked before his reveal, apparently.
I saw the image on Twitter, if that helps.

Looks ok, but a bit tooooooo cartooooony!
Maybe.
Early days though, obv's. But I'm concerned over where the MP line is going, 'n'no mistake.

Well, yeah, because that's the cartoon animation model.
I think over the years I've grown to prefer Mirage as a sleeker body type than the boxy original toy, and certainly (Thanks to the sterling work of Geoff Senior in all things, but the first part of Crisis Of Command in particular) I much prefer him to not have the two-tone face of Dreamwave.
In fact, yeah, Geoff Senior pretty much shaped how Mirage should look in entirety for me.

Can't disagree with any respect for the Senior.
*thinks*
Maybe Takara should be getting him in to do product design...

Yes, I wouldn't panic too much about that picture. It's just Mirage's page from the Ark book with some colouring. Not a toy prototype.
