Amazon comes up at $166 with shipping and customs. Thats under £120.
Has UK retail been set? I can see it being £120 anyway.
I dont know how it will factor into peoples choice but the US box is stunning. A multilingual UK box may not look so good. And based on getting Amazon exclusives last year theres a good chance the box will be damaged coming from them so if Kapow has US stock it might be worth the little extra.

Judging by the price vs USA on masterpiece n shit, I expect it will be around £150 here

Well MP Prime cost £100 here and in the end was selling at $120-130 in the US so I am not entirely ruling out Metroplex only costing £100 here, I guess buyers drop off past that.

I can't see Metroplex selling if it retails over £100.

Gah! Nearly broke it first transforming. I left the base of the foot stuck inside the leg when I moved the foot back in to robot mode position. Thankfully the soft plastic of the part means it bent without breaking. Only harm is some nasty stress marks.
My faith in the soft plastic has been justified it seems.
I like the gun turret mode for the head but in truth would have preferred the pop up feature of the original.

The head does not pop up? Awwwww. That was my favourite feature on the old toy as a nipper. It was Extreme False Coward Mode. Other robots thought he was hiding his head in Normal Coward Mode then BOOM! it popped up suddenly with ear cannons blazing at the unwary fools!

Am seriously on the fence about this. Would love a smaller version. It's not just storage space, but play value as well. I mainly play by making photo comics on A4 backgrounds.. this is why I stay away from anything bigger than deluxe (unless it's a combiner)...I almost prefer G1 as far as size goes…

Maybe, but the piece is barely visible in any mode and the stress marks even less so. I'm not going to mess around with it unless I find I need to. The size of it still mind blowing. Hes currently surrounded by voyagers that look like legends.

I suspect it will drop below the £100 mark before Christmas.

If not before then likely shortly after. I could be tempted by a Metroplex, but it depends on what else I can shed between now and then to make space in the house for it.

Ooh, so it is coming to the UK. Then I may rethink my AA shopping list. Incidentally, those who already have him, how big is the box? I need to know whether I can fit him in my bag.

IT will fit in the big suitcases. Only the big suitcases. I'll get measurements later.

I had a shot of Bogatan's Metroplex at AA. it is utterly glorious. I may have to do some more purging so I have space for one...

Metroplex is rather fantastic. I was very impressed with him, especially with the fact that Metroplex gives hugs. I can see myself getting one of these in due course.
