I highly recommend Phil's ROM back issue service! Take him up on it!

Chucked a bid on one of the prints. Mantlo deserves our cash. -Ralph

Bid on 3. Lost 2, won 1. Not too bothered about the prints. I consider it more of a donation to Mr Mantlo.

It is a great pity that they can't sort out whatever tangle it is that prevents it getting a reprint. It would make for a wonderful run of Essentials.

And also it tends to muck up a lot of the collections of other series, given that unlike most licensed properties Rom was so whole-heartedly embraced by the mainstream Marvel Universe.

Micronauts and Shogun Warriors are in the MU too.
Rom's rights issues effect Power Man & Iron Fist, Marvel Two in One & The Hulk.

Good point, but that's more a matter of SW crossing over into Rom.
Isn't SWII also affected by Micronauts: New Voyages? That's missing from the HC too?

Maybe this will happen. Chris Ryall at IDW has long been hankering to get it happening but the copyright/trademark situation meant it was a no go.

Gicven the ammount of other Marvel characters involved a TPB reprint has to be handled by Marvel I'd have thought?

Haven't IDW in the past done creator based TPB (Hardbacks I think) featuring mainstream Marvel stuff? I seem to recall that off the top of my head - too lazy to check right now - but let me check....

Confirmed it's Walt Simonson's Thor - scanned art (so technically uncoloured). Damn I so want it now!
Edit: They are doing it for other ex-Marvel dudes too! Like Gil Kane....

Could just be a wee random image though. Nightcrawler is in it and the 616 version is dead, his AoA has a tattoo over his eye that the Nightcrawler pic is missing.
