I do think he's a bit incomplete without the trailer, but like many, I've got the previous short-stack reissue, and the trailer happily lives in a box in the attic with all the other trailers. Fun to dig out now and then, but not something you'd keep on the shelves permanently (or at least, not with my limited space). Whereas I'm exactly the opposite - when I decided to get Convoy out in a recent rotation I put away three other toys to make space for the trailer. He just doesn't look right sitting there as just a tractor unit - he just needs to be towing the trailer for me. Karl |

Looks like the cassette door is flush to the surface, so it's another run of the Encore one. Shame the button is the single piece one, but I guess the original mould with separate buttons doesn't exist any more.

I have the old bookstyle reissue one where the mould was remade from a Soundblaster so it has the sticky-out window. I was happy with it at the time though could be tempted by a proper 'flush' window version.
If it's around £50 that's much better value than Prime minus most of its' toy! Would be a reasonable asking price in today's market.

Glad he’s getting re-released though. I’m lucky to have the Encore version and it’s still a brilliant toy. Hopefully this means more G1 stuff getting releases as well.
