IDW Star Saber is a grim character indeed, based on his tyrannical TMUK appearances back when most of TMUK's contributors hadn't seen any of the Victory cartoon he appeared in. I'd recommend watching a couple of episodes of Victory first, so you can experience Star Saber the hero before reading about Star Saber the baby eater.

A Sunday seems like a weird release date to me, but I'm out of the habit of monitoring Tomy releases. The last things I really tracked on HLJ were Arcadia/Yamato stuff, which always boiled down to "May Release means last day in May". So I bow to the expertise of those with firmer knowledge of this stuff.
I have to say, MP Star Saber does look rather nice. They've really captured the very "Super Robot" vibe he has in Victory very nicely I feel. Depending on my circumstances in a few years I might track one down on the secondary market in due course.
