He has arrived! Which was a surprise on two fronts: First, that I was late paying Kapow. And second, that I didn't expect to find him on my doorstep when I opened the front door. Briefly considered complaining it hadn't arrived and getting the Royal Mail to pay for another one, but that'd be fraud. And having mentioned it on here I wouldn't be getting away with it. Ah well.
And now, now I wait. For now he goes into the cupboard, to remain boxed and sealed until late May. It's going to be a long couple of months...

He arrived on Friday.
He holds his big sword like a paint roller. Two separate handles for it, and they're both the wrong way round. I'm sure somebody at Shapeways will release a new handle in due course.
Everything else about him fills me with joy.

So, he can't hold the sword with the edge facing his opponent? That is going to put a crimp in the Style of a 'bot most known for his skills as a swordsbot... Lets hope that Leozack doesn't find out - it might well give him the ideal chance to strike...

Star Saber is here.
I wish I could rave about it but finding a crack over a tiny piece in the clear plastic of his front windscreen means it's only held on one side and is making me VERY nervous
And, while moving Jetfire to take a photo together, we had an accidental weapons discharge which means I now have a missing missile!

They were very reasonable when Fort Max arrived without its red spinny wheel in the chest.
I think their policy is to replace if in stock (paying for return postage) or offer a discount if out of stock. Definitely contact them.

He looks glorious in robot mode, but there are no surprises in the Transformation. It's more a revision of the original (not that I've had the pleasure of playing with one) rather than the full on update we've had with previous figures in the line.

Yeah, his hips aren't the strongest. He might have a touch of Uranos syndrome.

And I shall name this Star Saber Day! Such a cool toy. Mine looks particularly sinister as only one eye has been painted so he looks like he came off on the wrong end of at least one duel.
He looks v likely to yellow so will have less display time than I might wish - unless I keep him in my windowless cave of an office. But if I have him there all of Year 9 will want to play with him and they'll be bound to break him.
