This is the second go at a G1 Smokescreen deco on a Legends figure - the first was in a ROTF 2 pack. As you can see the car mode is much much better:
while the robot is a big improvement too with the blue dominating. If anything it could have used some red on the lower legs and feet
His the FIFTH use of the Cyberverse Smokescreen mould already so it's nice to see him in the colours traditionally associated with the name
(White Japanese, Alternators Blue Skyclaw Pilot, Predacons Rising, Grey Carded and Prowl)
He'll do as my G1 Smokescreen Legend/Legion for now.
I'm starting to think someone at Hasbro likes Cindersaur as Flamefeather and Sparkstalker don't get a look in.
Third go for the Rippersnapper mould after the original and the clear repaint. won't be the last either.
The purple limbs are a spot on colour match for the original, and the yellow paint on his chest comes from the original too. The face is green, with red eyes, but the majaroity of the robot's chest and body is a more flat grey.
Of course now I have one updated Firecon I won't the others. And the Japanese versions. And some clear G2 goodness.
Top set, the Smokescreen alone sold it to me.
