The comic mart in Edinburgh on Saturday was visited.
Naturally certain laws had to be upheld - there was some Liefeld Youngblood issues in the bins, but the single worst comic I have read has been purchased. Darkminds/Witchblade - drawn of course by The Patster.
God it's bad.

I will try again tonight.

I find cereal boxes and toy packaging useful. Or a pack of dividers from a stationery shop. -Ralph I literally have hundreds. I am not that hungry! I don't want to damage them though, I know you're supposed to get special backing board, though they're a bit grotty already. Card isn't cheap though and I don't want to get the wrong stuff! I just got loads of backing boards off Amazon, not really that expensive! like the idea of a cardboard cereal box tho might try that next time!

I do miss the old school coverbox.

Reminds me that Optimus Prime transformed on the coverbox of TFUK somewhere round the #40s.

Indeed and IIRC there was a battle of the letters answerers too. I miss cover boxes.

It was the the late 20's early 30's and then we got the classic coverbox Prime for ages. It was screen grabs from one of the early ads.

That is quite cool! I do miss the old school coverbox. Used to love the ones on the team books with the heads on them that showed, not always accurately, who was in the team that issue.

Hoping some of those issues will be in the Panini title. Certainly something Punisher coming next issue.

A great series, I've always enjoyed Iron Fist and the Fraction/Brubaker run is one of the high points.

The latest set of back issue wonders arrived yesterday from Graham's Crackers. Amongst it were the remaining 4 Power Man Iron Fist issues to complete my run. I can see why it got canned, Jim Owsley had no idea. Dumped almost all of PM/IF's large supporting cast and replaced them with others. I read the final issue again and could reognise very few of the supporting cast in that. The feel was just wrong. The only issues that work are the ones where he sticks Luke and Danny in the Artic ! On the other hand the Kurt Busiek (sp?) issues around 100 are just gold. 100 itself is blinding, get a copy if you get the oppotunity. I'm pretty sure Priest(Owsley) copped to the same thing in his blog. A talented writer who wasn't a good fit to the title at that point in his career. Andy New Christopher Priest interview where he touches on PM/IF and a lot of working for Marvel in the 80s www.bleedingcool.com/2016/08/19/no-more-black-panther-comics-but-maybe-a-novel-christopher-priests-bleeding-cool-interview/

Found a silver age Green Lantern #59 for a good price while at NYCC.
Whenever I think I'm done collecting back issues, I always find something else to buy...

No chance, I don't have the space for more comics!
I'm a big fan of the Giffen/DeMatteis Justice League, so couldn't resist grabbing the 1st appearance of Guy Gardner.

Ah, but then you'll need the first appearances of all the JLI, that Detective Comics 27 could prove tricky!
