I used to use BT dial-up. It wasn't very reliable!

Never used their dial up, went with Lineone back in the day, who became Tiscali and then Talk Talk.

Started with BT Dial-up as well. Will never use any of their internet services again.

NTL, baby. It was pretty stable if I recall correctly.

I am stuck with BT broadband, as no other service could verify that my address existed (same with most of the utility companies). It works most of the time.

I'm stuck with KC because competition is bad. Monopolies good.
Though I do remember using freeserve back in the day for my dial up.

Freeserve then Freebeeb then Madasafish. Only ever heard ill of BT's dial-up.
For broadband I had the misfortune of Homechoice being bought by Tiscali and thus ending up with Talk Talk - who stole £400+ by direct debit from my account just after I left them (I got it back by reporting it as unauthorized to my bank, and wasn't the only one apparently. The scandal should have been bigger). Now have a monthly contract with Zen and don't look back (Zen was recommended to me by the BT engineer who sorted out my landline!).

Only ever 2 providers for me: Netcom in the dialup days, thanks to a friend's recommendation, and then BT since when I've been on Broadband.

Zen, huh? I'm going to have to get broadband in my place in Birmingham once I move down. It doesn't have to be fast but I'd prefer it to be unmetered as I watch a lot of crap on Youtube.

I noticed yesterday there is a MODEM socket on my BBC Master's motherboard. This started me thinking.

There will be one. I am intrigued by finding instructions online that show how to get a BBC onto a WiFi connection. This must happen. My Master 128 is coming back to life, I need to do something with it.
