Cracking. I wonder if there's a story behind the broadsword on his back. It looks a bit ornate for such a "functional" kind of soldier.
One minor quibble, Ken- there's no A in "Roche", unless the spelling was some 90s in-joke I'm not familiar with.

Does he actually use it at any point in G2?

So, I finally got my MP G2 Sideswipe. He is still in his box, as I haven't had the time to unpack him yet. I dare say that he's probably not happy being stuck in his box, in fact - I bet he's mad about it. I would even go so far as to bet that he's REALLY ANGRY and that if we magically could see his face inside of the box, folded into his car mode, it would be SCOWLING GRAAAARRRR!

I'd just like to say that thanks to everybody who went to Scotcon this year, and thanks also to Kapow's current clearance sale, I am now the disbelieving owner of Masterpiece G2 Sideswipe. I hate you all.
But he is a fantastic thing of angry (or as my girlfriend would put it, Elvis-y) goodness, isn't he? Now just to decide what to do with the stickers...

Well those two opinions are... useful to take note of. And also, being diametrically opposed, of little actual use. I should probably flip a coin instead.
Actually, in lieu of tossing a coin I opted to do something far more random, and went and had a quick look at the G2 comics instead. Subsequently, I think I'll be keeping him mostly black. But with a G2 Autobot insignia, of course.

Well last night I went as far as adding the arm and foot stickers, and a nice, big G2 Autobot insignia to his chest. And, I'm afraid, that's where I'm going to stop. For now, anyway. Mostly because my shaky, fumbling hands are absolutely terrible at applying stickers, and I cocked up at least one arm and one foot. However, the stickers are so small that hopefully it won't show. The big, neon green ones, though... they give me the fear.
But you never know. One day I may succumb...

At least they are only stickers. My nemesis is waterslide decals. Whereas I will apply stickers to things, I have a flat policy of "no decals. Not no way, not no how".
