Delighted to hear that David Graham is involved. And I read elsewhere that live action miniature sets will be used alongside CGI, which makes me happy.

Looking forward to this. The tie-in Blu-Ray release of the original show may tip me over the edge to owning a telly again so I can watch all those rockfalls in glorious HD.

So we had quite a big build up for this on here then nothing when it aired... what was the opinion then? I noticed the sky box had accrued ten episodes of this, so I started on it last night and woah! it's really good! Lady P is not right and Brains as a token non-white sticks out like a sore thumb, but the mix of model & animation gives it a great look and I love the 'it's on strings' wobble added to the ships when they're in the air.
I'm sure I spotted some nods to other Anderson shows in the first episode. Surely the sea base command deck exterior is from a Space 1999 Eagle? and I'm sure there was a point early on where a cupboard door opened using the noise Zeroids make when they open their eye shutters.
In another thread I was talking about how Saturday tea time would be a good place now for retro action adventure, and this really fits that bill - you can see they've worked hard to keep a sixties vibe to the style and tone. Pity it got moved to 8 in the morning after the first episode.

As far as nods go, I could have sworn I saw Stingray briefly appear on a monitor. 8 o clock (Sooty's old time slot) on CITV is not a good choice at all. Feels like this show is buried by it. Would rather see this on Saturday tea time. A once sacred slot that is now occupied by stuff like BGT. Not followed this new show since the pilot. My SKY+ is getting full . Binge watch in order.

This morning Fab 1 changed colour! That's Hudson from Terrahawks' trick!

This is the most entertaining animated show I've seen for years. I absolutely love it. Subtly but perfectly updated from the original in all aspects - tighter, punchier, funnier, the rearranged music is awesome and the mix of model backgrounds with sympathetic CGI characters blends perfectly. So pleased it's got a second series.
I picked up the 2016 Thunderbirds Annual in Sainsbury's for a quid yesterday!

Given the old Century 21 thing of several of the Anderson shows being in a shared universe...I rather like the idea of FAB1 showing off some tech from one of the post C21 shows. Keeps the theme running. :-)
Glad to hear it has got a second season, felt like it deserved to do well. It wasn't entirely my thing but it was a very well executed piece of work (and treated far better by the network than the last Anderson remake).
Decided to skip most of the toys - except for the Tracey brother I got for repainting in due course - although I like TB2 I'm not so sold on the little tweaks they've done to this version. I'd have felt compelled to buy Kano (Kayo?)'s stealth jet considering who the designer was, but it understandably didn't make the cut for the toyline so they spared my budget that expense :-)

For the life of me I can't find it now, but I'm sure I saw recently that Takara are doing Thunderbird X in the same range as the three ships out now. Also I think a FAB1, but that obviously would be out of scale. My Tracy Island needs those.

Will catch up on this at some point. Was pleased to find out Brandon Auman had a hand in developing this show. Glad it survived the poor timeslot and got a 2nd season pickup.

Tonight's gem from Thunderbirds, the one where the TB5 computer goes rogue, involved John Tracy needing to change an AE35 unit :-)
Just in case we haven't got that reference the soundtrack includes a snippet of Also Sprach Zarathustra

Blimey you're a long way back.
This series has had a profound effect on me. I absolutely love it. Everything about it just works. I can't remember the last time I was actually excited about seeing new episodes of something but this was a highlight of the week.
