BBC Article on the attackLooks like a possible attempt to extort money, but looks like he just brushed it off and got back to work. Whatever your thoughts about his movies its not pleasant to think of someone being threatened or even attacked whilst involved in a Transformers project.

Have to admit hearing the headline on the radio it was hard not to smile as I instantly started picturing it as a scene out of one of his films. Frankly I'm just amazed that anyone was allowed to get that close to him.
