Could have sworn Shockprowl had done one of these but as I can't see one some quick thoughts.
Prowl or Streak, both so good but I can't decide which I prefer. I didn't own a Bluestreak till the last few years and barely remember his presence in any TF media so I'm seeing MP Streak very much with fresh eyes unlike Prowl and I'm liking it a lot. I think I do have to have Smokescreen as well.
As was mentioned elsewhere in car mode they really do seem the same size as the originals were in my child sized hands back in the day. And in robot mode Prowl looks and feels like an oversized super detailed and articulated Actionmaster. What is there not to love?
As for the complaints I've heard.
QC
- seems fine to me, I noticed one little over run of red on Prowls head. Joints are fine.
Plastic
- honestly this doesn't feel like cheap plastic to me. It is very thin, but to get this transformation into a toy this size I don't see theres a choice. Even then I'd say a child was less likely to damage one of them than their G1 counterparts.
Paint apps.
-Prowl does possibly look a little plain, but also cartoon accurate and as someone who rarely applied stickers unless they were a major feature I prefer it this way. Streaks colours lend themselves to a less paint app scheme better.
Hollow legs
- I can see why they might annoy some, but for reasons I can't quite decide on, the much smaller hollow space on Sideswipe and red Alert (and Tiger track) bothers me more than the gaping holes of Prowl and Streak. Probably its because the gaps are in the back of the legs well out of sign most of the time, but also it's not so obvious, its quite a dark void so it seems more filled in than it is.
Without over reaching I've been trying to think of some potential repaints, the slightly unusual older car form doesnt neatly match up with anyone I can think of except maybe the grey omnibot which would be a bit redundant being the same colour as Streak. The other one that might work is Actionmaster Circuit as its ches always reminded me of Prowl a bit.
