What voids are there in your non-TF toy collections?

Me? Well me have LOTS of gaps and wounds.
Marvel Legends: Please please release Bulldozer, for Pete's sake!!!! Why?! Why wouldn't you?!!!!
I need that new Sentry that wasn't released, a Legends Wizard, and I need the up-coming new Cap', Baron Zemo and Black Widow.
Marvel Universe: Ares, to complete my Dark Avengers. Wizard (for such a great villian he has nill love), and Annihilus.
Star Wars: Sim Aloo, the third main Imperial Dignitary, and some Human skiff guards already! Fozec! Tezeri!
And what about a new Death Star playset, mayhaps?
GI Joe '25th' Footloose.
A Terrordome.

Hmmm, clearest one I can think of is that left when my parents sold off my childhood Lego collection while I was at university.
Otherwise, I wouldn't say I have open wounds exactly but maybe a few itches to scratch. e.g. toy lines I didn't own an example of when a child - M.A.S.K, Starcom, Real Ghostbusters. No intention of scratching those itches right now though.

I always wanted more Zoids. My cousin had a lot plus the comics I was always jealous despite having a reasonable number myself. A couple of M.A.S.K. toys I would have liked as a kid, but I think I've owned most of them at one time or another now. In fact thanks to car boot sales, with the exception of Zoids which rarely turn up intact, I've at one time or another owned most of the toys I sort of wanted but didn't have growing up. Almost all have eventually been sold on, but it was nice having them for a while.
I do occasionally regret selling some of the rarer Thundercats, but at one time they turned up so often it didn't seem like a big deal, now 80s and even 90s toys are quite uncommon. Even Beast Wars don't turn up that often any more.
I still have Castle Grayskull, which I can never bring myself to sell or part with.

Robo Force. I had almost the entire set apart from the Fortress of Steele (that I never saw) and one of the evil chaps. Vulgar, I think- the dude with the drill-face. They had all their accessories, but a couple were broken as the plastic on them wasn't very resilient. They all went to the charity shop back in the day.

More in the "Dad's toys" side of the Toy Robot spectrum, I have come to miss my old Battletech Miniatures - I had a combined arms battalion assembled and painted up at one stage but got rid of many years ago due to the lack of any real community playing the game around here. But some part of me does miss my old-style Battlemaster, Archer, Phoenix Hawk and their lance- and company- mates. I could easily replace them with the modern redesigns, but somehow it wouldn't be the same - especially the classic Rifleman with its distinctive Scarecrow proportions.

Thinking about it more, I wish I had kept my Secret Wars figures. Even at the time I knew they were a bit rubbish but I loved them anyway (especially Doctor Doom) and they were heavily used in playroom battles for many years. I dreamed of getting the Tower Of Doom but alas it was never to be.

I actually miss my Britains Space toys now I think about it. Not an 'Open Wound' as such, but they were marvelous. Piglet would have loved them.

Actually the more I think about it, the more of an Open Wound they're becoming.
Wonder if my parents will have them in the loft?

Mine sold those too! Doesn't feel so much like an open wound, but I'd like to have one example around for old times sake somehow. There was a great aesthetic to them.

Outside Transformers I don't think I miss any of the toy ranges I used to be into to want to rebuy any now, including Star Wars which was an obsession pre-TFs. Maybe if I saw some of the Thundercats figures I'd be tempted, but I'm not going looking, and while the recent reboot was an excellent cartoon (oh I did like that) the toys were rubbish. Of what there has been and I've never acquired, I did really want the Comet Miniatures Tripod model because I love that series/those books. I also have and love the five original Front Mission 3 mech toys based on the Playstation game, but never had/saw any of the variants that came after that. I suspect if I came across those I'd buy them. I also really want a high quality Iron Man figure, but have not yet seen one in the kind of scale, finish and suit version I'd want to own. Toys that have never existed... well the first one that has been top of my list since the 80s now has to come off. I adore ED-209's design and it's always grated that there hasn't been a good (as in not the Kenner one) toy. But then the film reboot happened and last year Hot Toys and Neca both announced figures. I decided at the time as it had been a lifelong want that I would studiously save and allow myself a one off ridiculous purchase and get the Hot Toys one, but then two things happened. First the steep price went up even more (£386 from Forbidden Planet now?) and second, I got into 3P TFs and spent the cash. So having been to see the reboot film last week I settled on a compromise and ordered the Neca one, which should turn up this week. I just know though I'm going to look at it and think about what might have been. Why are Hot Toys releases *so* expensive... I cannot bring myself to pay almost £400 for one toy. Other things that don't exist? right, well I'd be very, very into a good range of toys based on War of the Worlds, either the book or using the Jeff Wayne style designs. I'd love a diorama with some Martian machines and a Thunderchild set against Victorian London with loads of tiny plastic people. The other thing I would love but will never see came to me when I first assembled the Character Options 5" scale TARDIS playset. I thought, what if they did a Liberator flight deck playset with a lights and sounds Zen, packed with the series one crew? How absolutely awesome would that be? Seriously, if they did that as a very limited run £400 would not be a problem. Then of course it would sell so well they could follow with a Scorpio flight deck (working Slave naturally) and put in Season 4 remoulds of Vila and Avon, with a Tarrant, Soolin and Dayna too. I can't imagine that without getting upset at the fact it'll never happen.

We did tmukhub.proboards.com/post/159426/threadI have five boxes worth under a bed at Mums that I bought cheap off eBay a few years back. I know I've got at least 4 of both the bubble ships and one example of all the white toys..... bar the white version of the original bubble ship. Most of the yellow/green stuff can be had for pennys. The white and red/blue stuff is harder to find especially the unique moulds

Thinking about it, there is one bleeding wound that has been present for over a decade now. I have never owned any version of the YF-19 prototype from Macross Plus. Sure, I've got the Macross 7 VF-19kai, but that doesn't count - different Battroid Mode head, and more importantly different fighter mode wing structure. I've missed out on three different versions fom Yamato, and felt deep regret every time. But since the middle of last year I have had a preorder in for the new Arcadia (the company Yamato became post-bankruptcy) version - as my belated 40th Birthday present to myself, funded by money I received as a birthday present for my colleagues, and the proceeds of my "Project:Caliburn" sale.
Actually, it feel less like an open wound, and more like closing a circle. It was Macross Plus that brought me back to mecha shows, which brought me back to Transformers, and part of me feels like obtaining a -19 is a capstone to my various collections. As much a "Yep, done now" as a " not complete without". If that makes any sense to anyone?
