I passed whole seconds in a mildy thrilling manner tapping the 'access codes' into the local Argos catalogue thingies. Scouts, Legends and Deluxes were in stock. The store was dead so I asked to look at the scouts. On offer was Detour (swish red sports car) and Dirtboss (evil forklift truck of doom). Naturally, I opted for the latter!

Dirt Boss is a decent, fun toy. But it's ridiculously small for the price-point: this is not an £8 toy! It's pretty much in scale with Legends figures for goodness sakes.
So: great toy, but over-priced somewhat. One for 3-for-2 sales.

Well, you can move the two little forks a bit so they slide under an imaginaery box but they can't lift up and down so you can't put the imaginery box on a higher shelf. I have lost my command of English.

Picked it the Argos catalogue Spring/Summer 2011 up around 5pm-ish today. I don't have a scanner unfortunately, but I'll type out the information.
Transformers are on page 1689.
Items are: Power Core Combiners 5-pack combiner (388/3358, £20.39), and 2-pack (388/4429, £8.99). Pictured are a Constructicon-like combiner, and a green tank with blue Mini-con.
Legends (387/9599 £5.09), pictured are Gold Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Megatron Legends figures from Reveal the Shield sub-line.
Deluxe (387/2307, £10.19), pictured is Special Ops Jazz, with the tag-line "10 to collect".
Voyager (387/2383, £20.99), pictured is Solar Storm Grapple, tag-line "5 to collect".
"Cyclonus vs Rodimus Battle Pack" (388/6678, £21.99), the Battle in Space pack, obv.

Steamhammer & Constructicons and Heavytread with Groundspike. Steamhammer is in the same assortment as the sainted Dinopope. We have to hope.... But Argos have form for misleading us with their pictures. But if they get Steamhammer & Dinopope then that raises hope for the next assortment. I will give a prize for the first person to take a photo of a PCC Wave 5 combiner 5-pack in the UK. Legends (387/9599 £5.09), pictured are Gold Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Megatron Legends figures from Reveal the Shield sub-line. Anyone got the code for the Rescue bot Optimus Prime with trailer that was on the site for about £12 from £25.
Argos have removed all rescuebot from the main link but can only get Bumblebee on search.

I bought one of these from Amazon.com: $20.99 + shipping and tax. I think I paid about £23 for it all-in. Yes, I have to wait a couple of weeks for it but it's a lot better than the £60 - £75 it costs at Amazon.co.uk.

That's an arse actually; it's much easier to find stuff in the print version when you're in the shop. I suppose that means no in shop catalogue either.
