Yup. It's the reboot of X-Force that's not so good.

It seems Titan have launched a new CE style Star Wars comic, and rebooted their Superman CE style book and made it a monthly and called it DC Universe Presents.
I picked both up - the Star Wars book was okay, but I'm long past really being interested in Star Wars. The DC Universe presents book is serialising Morrison/Quitely's Earth 2, along with Green Lantern and The Flash. Can't see me picking this up for a few months. I have Earth 2 (it is good) and the GL issues are on my ipad and I couldn't care less for Barry Allen as The Flash and Geoff Johns writing is functional at best.
Still it's nice to see Titan contining on and raised faint hope within me that they might try a CE style Transformers comic.

Movie adaptation of original Tron. Just like how movie comics used to be done. Yay.
Not touching the tie-ins to Tron Legacy though. I refuse to pay $5 for a comic!

Franken-castle comes to a clearly truncated end. Shame. There was plenty of mileage left in it.
The Unwritten and Chew continue to be solid monthly reads.

Thanks. If there wasn't just one issue left I would have dropped it by now due to it going to a 'whenever we can be arsed' schedule.

Brendan McCarthy is illustrating Judge Dredd in this and next week's issues of 2000ad. It's a Doctor Who pastiche. Well worth getting.

I was getting round to leaving some feedback on Ebay. Comics ordered from A Place In Space never arrived and after some back and forth cost was refunded. So I marked them as 'neutral' rather than 'Negative' (I did get my money back after all) and left the following comment: 'Did not receive item, but cost was refunded.'. I personally thought that was ok. It's not like I was shouting at them. I just received the following deeply unpleasant e-mail from them and would appreciate advice as to whether I should complain to Ebay. I'm quite shocked by the strength of this unsolicited rant.
'Dear ralph_burns1701,
I note your numerous neutral feedbacks left for us today, following our full refund of your order LOST BY ROYAL MAIL and frankly I'm stunned by your actions.
Holding us responsible for Royal Mail not delivering your item is totally unacceptable.
We have conducted business with you on numerous occasions previously without a problem. You then advised an order had gone missing, we assisted and communicated with you throughout and gave you a full refund - no doubt your items will be returned 'uncollected from depot'.
Leaving detrimental ratings for us, when we are not at fault is really low. Royal Mail delayed/lost your order, and your frustration at their service is misplaced and very unreasonable.
We refunded you 06/11/10 and you now leave feedback after we had done everything we could to assist you.
We work 7 days a week, 14-16 hours a day offering a superb, professional service and whilst you may feel neutral does not affect our business, it affects morale when we all work so hard to do what we do and reflects badly to other potential buyers - galling.
A Place in Space.'
They'll never get any future business from me now.

Took me a while wading through ebay's help system, but I've reported it as harrassment and forwarded a copy of the message.
'Please note that we cannot respond to you with the result of our investigation due to privacy rules' says the automated reply from Ebay. Ah well.

Looks like 'A Place In Space' have decided to retaliate after I shopped them to ebay for their bad manners with them changing their feedback for me to 'Don't blame sellers for Royal Mail's mistake - you're now bidder blocked!'.
And yet I never once sent them a communication blaming them for a Royal Mail hiccup.
What a deeply unpleasant shower. Highly unprofessional.
There would also appear to be no protection from Ebay regarding harrassment from sellers. I am now considering taking the bulk of the business I do there (toys, comics) to online stores instead, where I won't get hate mail from sellers who cannot accept the rating system they have signed up for. Life is too short and other avenues are available.

Considering that Ebay do not inform you of the result of a complaint and that the last complainst resulted in more nasty behaviour from the ebay store I'm dropping it. I don't want to wonder what nastyness awaits every time I log on.

This is all somewhat counter-productive on their part, as it has just cost them at least two customers.

Did the last issue of Joe the Barbarian ever come out? Sorry to be the bearer of more bad news Ralph, but DC have cancelled the original solicitation of Joe the Barbarian #8 and are going to resolicit it in the January Previews. So you're looking at a March release date at the earliest.

I have a zero tolerance approach for late comics these days. I don't care anymore how good the book is or how many issues are left. If a professional comics company with decades of experience can't get products out in a timely manner my money goes elsewhere. They had to do it for newsstands...
I have spoken.

Uncanny X-Force 3 The interweb seems to love this. I don't think it's a patch on the Kyle/Yost/Crain issues, especially those not afflicted by crossoveritus. I may buy to the end of this arc but no further.

Wait-wait-wait, did the failure of Thor: The Mighty Avenger not show there isn't a market for 2 ongoing Thor titles? Not to mention the crap-ton of Thor minis currently being chucked off a cliff.
What are Marvel thinking? Even by their usual 'publishloadsofstuffthereisamoviemagicallypeoplewillappearandbuyitbecausethere'samovie' tricks, their current Thor publishing strategy makes me goggle in bewilderment.
And yes, that is a nice cover. I don't usually care for Art Adams's style, but that is cool.

The comic shows no-one dying. He's in no worse a 'no-hope' situation than in a many other comics, when we last see him. I read it. I didn't see any deaths in it. It's just a twist that's been over-hyped. -Ralph
