But the only way us in the UK are going to get to see it is online posting because it is highly unlikely we'll get it shown on tv now. But DVD release might be in Dec15. SO US fan can't complain when RID follows on from Prime & we haven't had the end of Prime yet. But I don't expect RID to related back to events in PR. PR was (still is?) on Netflix. That's how I saw it last year.

Looking forward to this show. From clips it feels like the spiritual successor to the original RID in tone and daftness. The animal Decepticons look like a hoot.

I have to say that based on the little I've seen of it so far I am probably finding this more appealing than I have done a Transformers show for a while. I think there is some fun to be had with the concept here and I'm prepared to take a chance on it and see where it goes.

The repeat slot at 6:30pm is also an hour. Does look like a double episode to start.
Exciting! I may actually watch this live on TV on Saturday morning. How quaint. I can't remember the last time I did that with anything. I try with Doctor Who but never quite manage it.
Time flies though doesn't it. I remember watching Predacons Rising like it was last month thinking, well that's that for now. And here we are all of a sudden!

Watched the first 3 episodes via dailymotion last week. No spoilers, but has all the fun Prime was missing. I'm looking forward to more.
Quality of the video wasnt great so I can't be sure, but my impression was good animation, but I'm not sure of the way the characters are rendered. Traditional 2D backgrounds filled me with happiness though.

Sunday 1030 - 1100 years after tfp Bumblebee is summoned by Optimus to save Earth from a new faction.
1830-1900 Trust Exercise
Not sure if this means 2 new ones for Sunday or if this is just the first 2 reshown - but not seen episode guide.

Interesting. The pilot is two parts which would be the hour on Saturday, but Trust Exercises is listed as the episode following that two part pilot.
In Australia the pilot was shown one day, Trust Exercises the next, and then the fourth episode a week later. So those listings do suggest three new episodes over the coming weekend for us. Good spot.

Caught Ep 4 today, still enjoying the Decepticons more than the main cast, aside from Grimlock.

Yeah. So far the main cast are fairly typical kids TV characters. The inexperienced leader, the hot-head, the one that goes by all the rules and the one that relies on strength (but is probably a sensitive soul underneath). Oh, and the annoying sidekick with a really annoying quirk, who you just want to punch in the face.
I was also completely bereft of surprise that the second episode (spoilers) (not spoilers) revolved around the idea of the team learning how to work together...
Still, it's not all bad. And yeah, the 'Cons are fun. Only seen the first three episodes so far, but my favourite is currently Steeljaw. Not least because he strongly resembles the main fan-fic bad guy I had in a post Beast Machines story...

First two eps aired here, yesterday.
As expected, I'm relatively unimpressed. Overall, I enjoyed it better than Prime, as it was far less tedious to watch. But it really wasn't terribly good. The characters all have potential, but unfortunately since it's the TFP crew, we will not see them grow beyond what they are now. For example, I really like Longarm. She has a ton of potential, but if they don't have her grow and think for herself (which is where her potential lies), she's gonna become one of the most frustratingly annoying characters in all TF fiction. Underbite got on my nerves pretty badly, but then I typically dispite characters with his personality.
But the animation really killed it. I'm not really fond of cell shaded CG to begin with, but this was worse than most. Like... Only slightly better than Cybertron. But at least Cybertron, the human animation was really good! Here they looked terrible.
Overall, it isn't good enough to justify waking up for it's pre-dawn timeslot.

But at least Cybertron, the human animation was really good! Here they looked terrible. Oh god, really? I literally found Cybertron unwatchable. And I mean that in the proper sense. My brain didn't register it as a viable television program at all due to that horrible, horrible animation (and dreadful voice acting which felt like they were just improvising, which given the team behind it has put in lots of other solid efforts is really odd).

Yeah, I must say that although the animation is a lot better than Cybertron, it's still giving me enough flashbacks to that show to make me feel uncomfortable. If they can settle into their own style soon then that'll help a lot. Otherwise...

I'm thinking it might be a shame Grimlock is called Grimlock. He a fun character that as a non homage name could have transcended RID the way some of the Decepticons are sure to do. But as a Grimlock hes never going to displace the original.

Although I dare say for any kids who start with RID he will be embraced the same way as Sunbow Grimlock has been for our generation. Andy

I have... doubts. He'll probably be fondly remembered, like Armada Starscream and Animated Prowl, but he'll be overshadowed by the behemoth of the G1 character. If he'd been given a new name, he's more likely to enjoy the cross-generation existence of Bulkhead, Lockdown and Dinobot.
Incidentally, the end credits of TF Adventures (2:10 onwards) is madness... Madness I tell you!
