Saw them in Sainsburys. A lot bigger than I was expecting, but still not tempted.

While hunting the other two black symboled legions I may have accidentally bought a one step Grimlock....
.... And due to a Cashier's mistake, which I queried at the till, didn't get charged for it.

One of us, one of us.
Of the three so far, Drift has the most fun changing gimmick, Grimlock looks the best and Prime is the tatty one.

Here's a list of Age of Extinction store exclusives in Germany. Please note that the list is neither officially confirmed by Hasbro, nor is it necessarily complete. It's simply compiled from personal observations and sightings by other fans. I've included US and UK availability for comparison. From past experience, most toys available in Germany will also eventually show up in the UK and vice versa, although this isn't a hard-and-fast rule. Deluxe Class and Voyager Class: Toys"R"Us exclusives, just like in the UK. Wave 1 (Deluxe Crosshairs, High Octane Bumblebee, Scorn and Slug, Voyager Optimus Prime and Grimlock) was sold out for a while due to low initial stock, but has been restocked for the 2014 Christmas season. Also found at Intertoys, but they supposedly get their stock from Hasbro Netherlands because their parent company is Dutch. Leader Class (Argos exclusives in the UK): Wave 1 (Optimus Prime and Grimlock) found at Rossmann drug stores. Dinobot Slug, Strafe and Bumblebee Evolution two-packs (Toys"R"Us exclusives in the US and in the UK): Toys"R"Us. Grimlock and Optimus Prime Evolution two-packs (Toys"R"Us exclusives in the US and in the UK): Toys"R"Us. Titan Hero Silver Knight Optimus Prime (Target exclusive in the US): Real supermarkets/ Galeria Kaufhof department stores shared exclusive (both companies have the same parent company, the Metro Group). Smash & Change Silver Knight Optimus Prime (Target exclusive in the US): Galeria Kaufhof department stores/ Real supermarkets shared exclusive (same deal as Titan Hero Silver Knight Optimus Prime). Age of Extinction Silver Knight Optimus Prime & Grimlock two-pack (Target exclusive in the US, Tesco exclusive in the UK): Galeria Kaufhof department stores. Legion Class Bumblebee, Grimlock, Stinger and Optimus Prime, as well as the Strafe/Bumblebee/Stinger three-pack (Walmart exclusives in the US, Asda exclusives in the UK): Müller drug stores. One-Step Changer Stinger (officially Walmart exclusive in the US, but also sighted at Target stores): Originally believed to be exclusive to Müller drug stores, but also sighted at Real supermarkets and Toys"R"Us, therefore a general retail release. On the other hand, the "Classic" Legion Class wave 1 figures Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Starscream ("emerging channels" aka the former "market six" exclusives in the US, found at Dollar General and Family Dollar) are general retail releases in Germany and clogging pegs pretty much everywhere (Real supermarkets, Toys"R"Us, Intertoys, Galeria Kaufhof department stores, Karstadt department stores, Rossmann drug stores). The "Classic" Legion Class wave 2 figures Strafe and Grimlock ("emerging channels" exclusives in the US, found at Big Lots and Family Dollar) popped up at German retail as well, first at Real supermarkets, but most certainly general retail again, like the first wave. Megatron, who is included with this wave in the US, is missing from the German release, just like in the UK.

Interesting. Are there any connections between those stores and ones in other countries? Like in the UK we anticipate Target exclusives coming to Tesco and Walmart to Asda. Just wondering how the exclusivity works.
I think the non-evolutions versions of Generations toys are starting to dry up here too, they are on the TRU website. Perhaps they're coming sequentially in Germany.
It seemed odd to me we got them at all. In the UK they're basically an exclusive version of an already exclusive toy.
I'm confused by the classic legions. Wave one was Prime, Starscream and BB, and Asda have their exclusive wave two. Is that the actual wave two, or is there a different general release wave two that hasn't got to Europe?

There's not necessarily any direct connection. Note how all the "Silver Knight" versions of Optimus Prime are Target exclusives in the US, while in Germany they're already split up between two different chains.
There are two different assortments of Legion figures!
One actually comes with an "Age of Extinction" logo on the packaging and currently consists of Optimus Prime (ROTF sculpt), Bumblebee (ROTF sculpt), Grimlock (Beast Hunters Rippersnapper sculpt) and Stinger (Prime Knock Out sculpt). These are Walmart exclusives in the US, Asda exclusives in the UK and Müller exclusives in Germany.
Then there's the Legions in generic "Transformers" packaging without the AOE logo.
Wave 1 consist of Optimus Prime (RTS sculpt), Starscream (RTS sculpt) and Bumblebee (Universe 2.0 sculpt). "Market six" exclusives in the US and general retail in the UK and Germany.
Wave 2 consists of Megatron (Universe 2.0 sculpt), Grimlock (Beast Hunters Rippersnapper sculpt, different deco than the AOE version!) and Strafe (Beast Hunters Windrazor sculpt). Seen in packaging but not released anywhere yet. Grimlock and Strafe are identified as "Classic" on Hasbro's US website.

Ah right, that makes that clear. Well, it makes it clear what they are. Why they actually exist is another matter entirely!

So I saw AOE Deluxes and Voyagers at another Intertoys store in Germany. And then I took a look at the prices. Holy crap! For comparison: Toys"R"Us prices for AOE Generations - Deluxes €20, Voyagers €30 (That's been the German standard for the past few years, minus the size reduction of the toys) Intertoys prices for AOE Generations - Deluxes €28, Voyagers €45! Who the hell is supposed to buy this?!?

I do hope the Dinobots are still coming. ToysRUs here is suspiciously quiet now. It'd be a pain to have all these different release types and not be able to get a full set of seven from anywhere.

The AOE Evolution Strafe and Bumblebee two-packs showed up at at Toys"R"Us. Too late, I already got the Bumblebee two-pack from the UK.
The Silver Knight Optimus Prime & Grimlock two-pack showed up at Galeria Kaufhof department stores.
Smash & Change Silver Knight Optimus Prime also showed up at Real supermarkets, whereas Titan Hero Silver Knight Optimus Prime also showed up at Galeria Kaufhof department stores. Since Kaufhof and Real are owned by the same parent company (the Metro Group), the Silver Knights might just be shared exclusives. Which means the Optimus Prime/Grimlock two-pack might also show up at Real eventually.

Turns out One-Step Changer Stinger is not exclusive to Müller drug stores. Saw him at a Real supermarket today. Conclusion: Presumably a general retail release.

One-Step Changer Stinger also found at TRU, i.e. definitely a general retail release.

Grimlock, being the sixth use of the sculpt (original Beast Hunters Rippersnapper, Rippersnapper from the Predacons Rising Abominus giftset, Cindersaur from the Predacons Rising two-pack with Smokescreen, Jurara from Go! Goradora, AOE Grimlock and now "Classic" Grimlock), shows several traces of mold deterioration, sadly. He doesn't hold together well in several areas, even compared to AOE Grimlock.
In other news, I now own every single version of Abominus's components, including the upscaled Deluxe versions of Twinstrike, Windrazor and the Windrazor variant. Comparison shoots coming up...

Been searching but I can't find a thread for AoE toys. I've had to open some boxes this week while resorting and restoring to fit everything in; one of those was the Asda exclusive AoE set that had the Guildart repaint in. He's fun! The playing dead gimmick is indeed weird, but the firing missile is a plus. Very solid triceratops mode.

Hmmm. No idea why there wasn't a specific AOE thread, I've just merged the two threads related to the topic and bumped it.
That exclusive pack was fab, and such good value. It was also blink and you miss it. Did you get the one with the Energon Dinobot or BW Terrorsaur repaints in?
