It's common for the Transformers to be covered in newspapers, magazines and other publications, particularly when there's a movie or videogame to promote. These articles are easy to overlook, unless you visit WH Smith on a regular basis. Post your Transformers coverage sightings in this thread. Starburst #401 contains a large article on our favourite robot race this month. I am, of course, referring to the Gobots. The TF comic, toyline and movies also get some coverage. |

There was a negative comment about the Rock Lords movie. Thus, all copies must be burned.

I bought a copy yesterday. So far the writing quality on the TF articles is far lower than I would expect from the rest of the magazine. Plus a whole raft of minor inaccuracies that could have been avoided with a quick internet search.
I'm annoyed at the cartoon guide writer's rather odd view that a show focusing on humans/mini-robots = bad without any other reason. Still at least the Japanese shows get mentioned.
And nice to see some coverage of obscure 80s robot lines. Can't be long until a Manta Force issue!!

It should be noted that the current Starburst, despite continuing the numbering, isn't any relation to the previous title published by Visual Imagination and before that Marvel.

It is a strange magazine. They seemed to realise that they couldn't compete with SFX and Scifi Now, so went with something completely different. The completely different seems to be really short articles written for people who don't have the internet. The print smells interesting though.
The latest issue of GamesTM (148) has a 1-page preview of the Transformers Universe MMO game.

MyM Magazine #48 contains a three page feature on Transformers cartoons. It's rubbish, but may be of interest if you're interested in screengrabs of the original cartoon, movie, Beast Wars, Beast Wars 2nd, and so on.
