Update title: Time attack & also other game comments

What is the fastest anyone can complete any normal level on any game? Not a challenge level which you can do in about 2 seconds ie Soul Calibur hit the character. This is just for a normal level of a game from the start of the level to the end score screen - so world based games don't count or RPG because you never know how long it is before you get EXP points to level up.

Here is my fast time

Sonic 2 Master system level 3.1 18 seconds. You get a HUGH!!! time bonus. You have to spin roll forward & stay up top & fall right at the end to land on the underwater platform & jump to end post, if you make mistake you'll be getting a 25 second score.

Jurassic Park- Sega Genesis.

Back in the day, I used to could rocket through the Raptor setting in fifteen minutes.

I've never played that game.

It was FUN.

It had two modes: Human, in which you played Dr Grant, and Raptor, in which you played the raptor.

It was one of the first games to have some form of AI. You could never predict how the raptors would react to you.
Sometimes they would attack you, and sometimes they would walk up, smell you, and walk away.

And in the raptor setting, you could eat dinosaurs you killed to replenish your health.
Human setting was pretty trick. There were some spots I could never pass without cheat codes.

Sonic spinball on megadrive. I can get to last level without loosing a life but can only hit Robotnik 3 times then die. I've completed the Mastersystem one. Also currently stuck on Batman arkcity with getting some of the last 40+ riddle stuff. I can see where they are but how can you stand on 3 switches all at the same time? Then the one in the roof on the subway. I nearly got the one being the toyBane hideout but just hit the last of the 3 red ? marks with my cape. I've done all steelmill/& few others. Just 1 cat one to get but you need to unlock it with batman in the ID area. Also its getting passed Sonic 4.2 SS2 - did 1st on first go. & doing the last boss & getting last star on sandact2.

You can do the first level of DooM on PC in ~9 seconds. Quake 2 first level ~12 seconds.

But is that using a time freeze cheat? Really seeing how fast without using any form of cheats [I've used time cheat on Sonic adventure to complete all levels in 00:00:01 seconds] But using cheats is really showing of skills unlike just plugging in an action replay. Whats the quick time for any Halo level? I expect it'll be 20 minutes because it feels like that & maybe an hour on some.

Most games I either cant, or don't finish.
When I played games the most, was late eighties and early nineties. Back then i was really young, and I couldn't beat most games without cheats.

I got a Playstation, but I don't think there was a game I bothered to beat on it.

But Jurassic Park, and Duck Tales are the two fastest games on record for me. Even now.

No cheat at all, or messing with console commands/bindings. Just simply running through the level and not killing enemies unless you have to.

The speed runs that really impress me are the Dark Souls ones. Recently spent 113 hours playing Dark Souls 2 (although that did include getting pretty much all rare armour/weapons) and I've seen a speed run do it in 20 minutes (does use glitches which are now patched though). Typical Dark Souls speed runs come in ~1hr15mins though.

Super Mario Bros for NES in ~6 minutes is pretty impressive, but to top that - here's 2 people doing it live in a race. OMG the ending...

I can see now how you'd do Doom in 9 seconds - I do stop to take out the sniper in the green pool room everytime. & go to get the shotgun.

That's the 2nd level - the first being the one you drop down & run in the C shaped corridor then into the room & to the left for the exit.

I've just got the Japan Saturn Panzer Dragoon Saga [used to have UK release & have completed the game in 9hrs] But could be tricky using the Japan release with text being in Japanese. That bit on disc 3 where you have to answer questions might be tricky. It'll be good if on a phone it had something that you held the samera at the screen & it translates it for you. I know 9hrs isnt really a fast time attack time - but it is a quick time for this game. I'd be surprised if someone did the game in under 6hrs.

Halo 4 level 4 [the forest level] - half way in where you get help. To get that extra points you need to complete the whole level without anyone getting killed. Walk out to next area & all the guys get killed right away.
