Town centre, one bus.
We've got a TRU on the outskirts of town but given Swindon's size I'm really surprised that neither Smyths or the Entertainer have tried here before since the only other toy retailers are Argos (x2), Asda (x2), Tescos and one of the Sainsburys

You're probably pronouncing it wrong Phil, Smyths sounds like Smiths, not Smythes.

There's one Smiths and they sell Newspapers.....
.... which is maybe why Smyths won't come to Swindon as WHS has a distribution centre and offices here

The Smyths in Charlton is in a retail park with a WHSmiths, most people can tell the difference.
I think the main reason for not opening a Smyths in Swindon would be economic, but give them time, they've expanded a lot since they opened and TRU are hardly competition these days.

The one in Glasgow is a bit rubbish, it's too small.
Had my first trip to Smyths at the Fort last week. It was brilliant, almost took me back to being a boy walking round the Jolly Giant store in Glasgow.
We spent 2 and a half hours in it and that was with an 11 month old who didn't really know what was going on and couldn't ask for anything. When he gets old enough to ask for stuff it's going to cost me a fortune.
