I've had Galaxy Convoy (Cybertron Optimus) out for the last week standing on my desk. As I went to put him away this morning I spotted a feature I'd *NEVER* noticed before: The extra back of legs, with the leg guns, that connect to the super mode have a quick release mechanism triggered by a small black tab on the side of the piece.
So....
Which Transformer toys have you owned for years before spotting a feature on ?

It wasn't until I was an adult before I found out soundwave's weapons became batteries and stored in his back.
While this isn't exactly the same, it's a similar topic:

I spent years as a child playing with toy cars, then last year I finally realised I could move bits around to make them into robots! AMAZING! Seriously though - not sure I noticed the mechanism for different sounds in RiD Prime/Magnus/Omega Prime configurations until after a few time playing with it. Never read the instructions, so if it's not on the box I may miss it. |

I only realised this very morning after reading people's DOTM top 5s that DOTM Shockwave's gun can be taken off and put on his other arm (although it doesn't fit in quite as well).

I can't remember any in particular that I'd never noticed. These days I always tend to go online and read up on figures once I've had an initial play, to check that I've not missed anything. Naturally this must have been inspired by something that I missed at some point, but I'll be buggered if I can remember what.
Things I would never have noticed without reading up on them, though, would include (but not be limited to):
- Universe Galvatron having a weird walking tank mode.
- Human Alliance Sideswipe having a hidden face.
- Masterpiece Soundwave having the ability to store three tapes in his chest. (Thanks a bunch, Hasbro!)
And more!
