I am back, the tooth is gone and I'm home feeling sore and miserable but also liberated at the same time.
The pain was from a growing infection and needed dealing with. It took 6 anesthetics to get the job done (1 for earlier pain relief before X-rays and 5 to numb my mouth for the big tooth yank).
They did offer me a root canal job and was going to charge me around £200 for the privellege, I passed it up and wanted the tooth out to also make a keepsake and reminder to look after the rest of my teeth.
Aside from the tooth thing, they also had me sent to the nearest A and E department to be looked at due to concern of taking too many painkillers. As if I had'nt lost enough blood already I had to have a drip attached to me for hours and had to sleep during that time in the ward. The battle to stay concious was a vicious one at that.
Half asleep here...

Sounds like a right kerfuffle there, Ken! I hope the pain subsides. Probably better to get the tooth out as root canal is not always the best solution as it can flare up again afterwards and you have to suffer both root canal and having a tooth pulled.
I prescribe lots of ice cream and slush puppies!! Er, well sugar-free though!!

I am having my eyes tested next Wednesday, the first time since I was 15.
I have been getting absolutely blinding headaches at the backs of my eyes the last couple of months and noticed my vision starting to blur when I focus on anything at arm's length. I had wondered if was brought on by excessive stress these last few months.
I don't mind admitting that I am absolutely petrified of going to the doctor's so I figured an eye test might be the next best thing. If it turns out my eyesight is normal then I will have to bite the bullet and make an appointment to see the GP.

Get well soon ken. G, hope you get sorted. Hope everyone else ok.
I'm starting run of four. 3 days and 1 night. Fairly busy so far, but proper jobs, so one doesn't mind.
I am, of course, still trilled to the nines (what does that actually mean?) with Masterpiece Megatron. He has his faults, as discussed in my thread devoted to him, but I do love him so. His facial expression just looks so mean! He's been kicking the sh1t outa Prime and the others.
Just had my two weekly days looking after the Crazy Short Fat Pink Thing whilst Mrs Shockprowl is at work. Went to Toddler group yesterday and she spend a good portion of it walking around at a disturbing speed with a toy phone to her ear saying "Hellow, hellow". Her "Megatron" pronounciation is improving (back to Megichew), but she inists on calling robots "wabits". It's funny though, she looks at (from a safe distance) the likes of Alt Jazz and Prowl, and she calls them "car", or "manny". Clever little Piglet.

All the best for Graham and Ken.
Events outwith my control meant I was in a Starbucks earlier. I choose the cheapest hot chocolate (their coffee is...not coffee) and was mocked by the cashier for it. Still cost me more than a hot chocolate should and was utterly tasteless even after I chucked lots of crap at it to try to find some flavour. Gods, I hate Starbucks!

Sadly for myself it wasn't and it turned out to be stress-related high blood pressure. Still once I have managed to get out of my current stress-causing situation I am confident I can ditch the tablets. Andy

Ken, it is good to hear that you are rid of the tooth and that things seem like they are going in the right direction.
Graham - hope that the eye-test resolves things for you. It sounds like you are not having a great time of it there. I shall channel for you.
On the subject of Starbucks, I think I've only had something from a Starbucks once - at Waverly station when everywhere else was closed and I needed something to drink before a journey up to Aberdeen. It was there that I learned that what they serve is a beverage unclassifiable by any normal standards. I don't know what it is, but it certainly is not any kind of coffee I have ever encountered.

If thier cashier's opinion is that important perhaps he/she should be informed that you will gladly take your money elsewhere.
I had one of the Starbucks hot choclates brought to me yesterday when I was in hospital. I could not drink it until it cooled down a great deal, and it tasted like melted borneville and was very powdery.
All the best to Graham on the eye test. Sounds like you might be having noralga (however its spelled).

I will look up neuralgia... thanks for the support guys!
We've just had 8 tonnes of paper delivered. 8 tonnes. It's filled up an entire wall of the workshop area. It's piled so tall I can't even reach to get the top packets, which at SRA2 sized, are likely to cause serious injury if I try to fetch one.

Everyones crashing their cars this AM in Yorkshire. No one seriously injured thank God, not in our patch anyway. Mad fog out there.
Came home yesterday, obv in uniform (or in costume as I affectionately call it), to Piglet saying "geen manny!". That should be "geen Daddy" child!

Zip and Star came back from the vets yesterday all confused and bewildered from thier 'snip' op.
They are cheering up however and have started to eat again. Thankfully neither of them have been sick so that is good.
I have to walk Star to the vets tommorrow for a further checkup.
I have a Contemporary Screen Media exam today. It will also be the first time I left the house after lots of resting up and today I feel a lot less groggy. I managed to get some revision done yesterday so I hope I can tackle it head on.

The kit-kat I just consumed was a bad kit-kit. One finger was the full kit-kat wafery goodness, but the other finger was a solid block of chocolate. The sky is falling. The sky is falling.

A solid finger of Kit-kat chocolate? If it was the dark one I would have been overjoyed.
I did once get a Kit-kat where the wafer was running diagonally in one finger. That was a bizarre experience.

Ken - best wishes to the cats. Hope it hasn't been too traumatic for them.
I can't even imagine what two tons of paper would look like. Did it come in five ream boxes? Because if it did I would envisage your place must look like the warehouse at the end of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" Graham.
Today was going so well up until about four o'clock. I'd got everything I planned to do at work done and more, I was looking forward to picking up my comics, coming home and cocking myself a nice dinner and settling down with a movie. However, I out my coat on, went to zip it up and the closer for the zip came away in my hand. Just detached from the zip completely and irrevocably. Leaving me with no way to do up my only winter coat. Fortunately it was dry and not too cold this evening. However, I think I shall have to go and get a new coat tomorrow as I have nothing really suited to the scottish winter climate now. An expense I wasn't banking on this month. Ah well.

Zip is doing fine, he's got one front leg thinner than the other where he's had it shaved. As for Star she has the same and a patch of fur off the side with stitching.
Since Star had it worse than Zip I have to carry her down the vets tommorrow for a further check up.

Busy start today, but steadier now- touch wood! Think I over did it at Karate last night, and I've, get this, pulled the bridge of my left foot! Of all the odd things to injure! It's more the inner edge of the bridge. Not too bad, not effecting work or owt, so no channelling required. Save that for more worthy causes, like Ken's pussy. Aw come on, Ken, someone had to make that joke eventually!

What an unpleasant night. Woke up during the early hours after an especially disturbing dream, went back to sleep and the same 'dream plotline' picked up from where it left off! Later woke up with a deep sense of dread I just can't shift. I feel rather spooked.
Bloody odd.

I woke up at half past 7 this morning, peered at the clock, threw the covers off declaring "Shit! I'll be late for work!" then remembered it was Sunday and I didn't have to get up for another hour and a half. I think it's because tonight is the annual stocktake and I still have to go in from 6 p.m. till God knows when. 11 p.m. is the official end time but I've been there till nearly 1 a.m. before. Up at 7 tomorrow morning for a lecture so I reckon I'm going to be zombified. I feel sorry for my co-workers who have exams around this time (i.e. about 2/3 of them).
Still, it doesn't sound as troubling as your bizarre subconscious roller coaster, Ralph. Any chance you could tell us the sort of stuff you saw?
