I'll be heading up tomorrow with O and Wilson. It will be my first AA for a few years as 2012 clashed with tickets I had for the Olympics and last year I was too drunk to get out of bed after getting a little carried away on the Friday! I must admit to a smidge of excitement.

Oh good. A yellow rain alert for my journey down tomorrow. Still. It could be worse. I could fail to notice an amber alert for snow and skid off the motorway and write off my car. Again. A yellow alert for rain means it'll just be miserable. Heigh ho.

Just about to leave for AA! Aiming to get there for about 10.30-11 to meet up with everyone before setup.

I'm here but I need some target indication as I can't get to the stalls. Where are you and what do you look like? Extraction is another option. I'm currently sat in the second row back, one in, wearing yellow trainers, a navy FoC t-shirt and a grey beanie. Carrying a camera. Come find me!

Cheers dude. I had totally intended to make for Toy Fu as soon as I got here but all the stands are blocked off. I got lonely so I've dropped off freebies in my car. Will regroup and attempt to infiltrate the stands...

Hippobot's (colin) is there as are one of the Pirri bros, and from London we have Richard Aherne (Rich) James O & W
Nick (Kayevcee) should have Andy K (Bogatan) working the stall with him and Nick.

Eventually checked in to the hotel at 1.30am after arriving in the car park at 8pm to find a text from Nick saying they were going to see GOTG. I left right away. Then had to handle the hell that is Birmingham at night as I went to Nicks to get the rest of the ToyGu stock.

Just on our first stop now, Joey has slept the whole journey which has been fantastic. Should be there in 45 mins or so

Oh dear, whats happened? It all seemed to be going fine when I left Nick at the station.
I got home safely, but having unpacked I appear to have more than I left with, which can't be right as plenty was sold.

One Under near Coventry earlier this morning, followed by a signal failure near Watford later. And the weather. It's virtually eyes down for a full house. Andu had intended to change at the Burger but the train he's on goes straight from Carlisle to Glasvegas so he's going to have to get a bus from there.
He's not a happy camper.

Thankfully I had a some what smooth trip home, as I got a lift from birmingham to Carlisle with Grufflock and Khaosenvy, then arrived in plenty of time to get the 1512 train to Kilmarnock. I arrived home just after 5pm.
The only hiccup of my journey home was the lack of sleep, not having enough enough time to let breakfast settle and the car ride caused me to be sick in the car. Thankfully I wasn't sick on the car.

Clearly I made a mistake by attempting to use roads on the way to and from the convention on a weekday. From Glasgow to Birmingham I ended up gaining two hours due to congestion on the M6 (that road hates me), and then today from Birmingham to Winchester we ended up gaining an extra hour. This has to be some of the worst roads I've had to deal with recently. But I guess that'll learn me for trying to drive anywhere during the summer holidays.
Still, it was worth it.

Got home about an hour ago. By the time we got to Glasgow we were 1 hour 50 minutes late. Still, the journey itself was uneventful and we didn't have to stand at any point. Turnbull got in a few minutes ago. Last update from Tony was that he was due in at home around 9.

In addition to the travel chaos, Nick managed to get me to...I can't believe I am saying this. Do something kind for someone.
An older lady due to travel chaos ended up at Central and needed to get to the bus station so she could grab the shuttlebus to the airport. Nick was going the other way so asked if I could help.
I did, and made pleasant conversation and made sure she got there safely.
I have never, EVER been more disappointed in myself.

AND you raised hundreds of pounds for charity during AA by convincing that guy to buy our complete Monstructor! Not to mention making a fairly hefty donation to the stall yourself.
I think there are a few pinpricks of light shining out of the chunk of obsidian that sits in your chest, Andy.
