First thing Friday morning! Not sure what time the hall opens for setup (Nick/Andy, any ideas?) but I thought the earlier the better, as stuff always happens to delay me!

Usually lunch time, but theres no pallet arriving full of nicks stuff this year (that I know of) so should be a bit more relaxed before then.
Should be there early Thursday myself.

My trip starts in about 48 hours time. I am getting the train to Carlisle and staying with Mr Grufflock and Mr Cobra Commander for the night, then we are heading off "early" Thursday morning with Mr Khaosenvy driving down. I have no idea what time early is as of yet, but no 4:30am arrivals followed by an hour of not being able to find the hotel for me this year.
On the Toy Fu donation front, is it okay to had you things there? I have 3 PRID Vehicons, 2 BH Prowl's, 1 BH Smokecreen and a RTS Perceptor all unopened, as well as a few combiner limbs and Bruticus parts.

The nice thing about living down the road is it takes no effort, I'll be setting out about lunchtime on the Friday aiming to be there for twoish. The real question is, do I change at Smethwick or go right into Moor Street and walk over to the giant white distopian New New Street station?
That's an exciting quandary if you're local.

Anyone planning on driving and also popping into Birmingham itself, be advised that there are currently lots of roadworks and diversions in the city centre. Kiera and I were there for a comic convention on Saturday and we spent nearly an hour trying to navigate the diversions in search of the venue, but eventually gave up and decided to park up at our hotel (former AA venue, Holiday Inn, in fact) and hump the stock over to the venue instead.
I shall be travelling by train to AA on Friday, arriving around 3pm, leaving Monday.

Will be driving up early saturday morning, woman and baby in tow. This journey is going to suck! Out of curiosity, are we doing some form of meet up (I'm only there the saturday)? Would be good to faces to internet names!

If it goes as it does in past years then Andu will be doing something technical and Nick & Andy K will be manning the Toy-Fu sales table. They'll be able to point you at other forum members present.
Nigel are you going as a punter or seller this year?
I'm not going: a hall that crowded doesn't make a pleasant experience for someone with mobility issues and I'll doubt I'll be back again till they separate the dealer room from the main hall.

I always feel bad about stopping and chatting at the toyfu table because it's so busy! But, noted.

Nigel are you going as a punter or seller this year? I'm punting. For the time being, I just want to go to enjoy the convention. I might return as a seller at some point.

If I can get enough of my paper done in time, I'll be meeting Andy T and a stack of donations at New Street on Thursday afternoon. We'll be staggering off to the NEC to drop the bags and hopefully I'll be meeting up with Andy K and discussing the plan for collecting my stock from the house here in Brum and storing it... somewhere. Andy K (Bogatan), Tony (Koshnaranek) and Matt (Blueshift) will be on the stall with me this year. However, Ralph (who is going to a Doctor Who con next month) and Karl (CLASSIFIED) will not be joining us so we'll be two men down. If anyone out there in TMUKland feels the urge to stand behind a desk and take people's money for a while, please make yourselves known Colin- donations on the day are very welcome. Thank you! -Nick

That's some good Metroplex pics. Remember kids to belt up. Good job he wasn't using his fingers while looking out the window in a way used in One foot in the grave.
I can't remember if they have resurfaced the A42 - because that non-black surface is dreadful to drive on.

Is Metroplex travelling with you this year Andy? I'm sure he'd like to as he's taken to standing in the corner of the room facing the wall. It's been 15 months hanging out with a couple of legends and HOCs, it might be time to introduce him to the rest of the guys. In the mean time I might bring him on the off chance I pick up any 3p parts for him. Hmmm, that's probably a little too early . I'll look at train times though. If you could make it up on Friday I'm sure Toy fu could use some help setting up if we could get you past the doormen.

Just wanted to say that although I am unable to be there this year I hope everyone has a grand time. And best of luck to the Toy-Fu contingent!

Thanks to some confusion on my part I was 3 hours delayed in picking up the van this morning, instead of returning home to load it at 8.30 I got back approaching lunch. I am still yet to leave so, so much for an early relaxing journey.
Oh well.
