They could have given us siren or nightbeat, but gave us a powermaster instead (which in turn starts us on ANOTHER incomplete set) Could have given us the "small" decepticon headmasters, but gave us the monsterbots instead. I don't think they really cared about complete sets. We did get the small headmasters but as heads (apart from Hosehead, though we got Cab in Japan). I'd have preferred them as deluxes yes, and it's BONKERS that we got the Targetmasters and Powermasters in the Headmasters line when the next line was basically Powermasters and the line after it had Targetmasters. And let's be blunt, any character who isn't Optimus Prime, Megatron or Bumblebee is pretty much a nobody to the buying public and so can be easily swapped round.

Considering that there aren't even any rumors for missing targetmasters, they still haven't done all the headmasters and don't seem too bothered by this, and gave us an entire incomplete line of shell only pretenders without the actual pretender characters, I respectfully disagree. Hasbro certainly planned more Headmasters, Targetmasters and Pretenders though didn't they? Headmasters are down to happen later this year: Apeface is due in December. www.cmdstore.ca/transformers-siege-war-for-cybertron-voyager-class-7-inch-action-figure-apeface.html amongst other sources. Apeface is specifically mentioned at news.tfw2005.com/2017/09/17/tfw2005-interview-john-warden-ben-montano-349154 in connection with retaining the original gimmicks. More Targetmasters - as in the robots that wield them - are *believed* to be coming as repaints/remoulds of Punch, Ironhide & Mirage. No info on any more Targetmaster Battlemasters after the 1987 Decepticon set ccommon to Japan & the West is completed in w3 with Caliburst. But there again we know nothing about ANY Battlemasters post w3! The Autobot Targetmasters have been appearing in the Legends comics too, but as repaints of TR Hot Rod, Kup & Full Tilt. Pretenders: we know that they intended to do Waverider as a repaint of Cloudburst with a new shell front from the repaint we saw with Grand Maximus. We think we know which of the Primemasters would have been inside it - one of the Throne Primemasters is a repainted Cloudburst inner robot. It gets a bit more speculative beyond that depending on how much you buy into "POTP was cut short" theory, but the likelyhood is they intended for all the remaining Primemasters to have shells.

There aren't any "missing" toys. The Siege weaponisers are indeed designed to go with any figure in the line (even though the idea of interchangeable weapons troubles young Ralph). It's the play pattern.

Yeah, but problem with that is that "Believed to be" is not even rumor, though. It's just pure fan speculation based on what molds are on hand. These characters were "believed to be" happening during TR, based on molds on hand back then, too. Just because a Starscream mold exists isn't even proof that other seekers are planned, let alone a given. We had three Starscreams in a row (Studio, UW, PotP) for which other seekers have yet to manifest, and years since Sunstorm (the fourth most wanted) has had a go. I don't put any stock in character X happening just because toy Y would make a great base. I've been way too let down in the past. Sorry if I'm being cynical.

Universe NSC is a bronzey gold, not yellow. I want bright yellow like the BW Cheetors and the Mega & Supreme BM Cheetor. The darker colour on the upper legs and swords is wrong too, that probably should be bright yellow. The TFWiki image makes it out to be a bit lighter than it is in the plastic. You can also argue that the clear plastic is wrong, it's green on all the other BM Cheetors matching the final eye colour for the original BW version. However the clear plastic has now got to include the eyes on the BM version, which are red. And back then they were limited to casting the clear plastic in one colour, now they'd do it by tinting it. SOMEWHERE, and I'm not sure it's in my Flickr, I have pics of a prototype in colours a lot closer to what I'm after. Yeah, that's a bit too pale and plasticy yellow but .... and an interesting lesson on which parts are on sprues together!

A bit of speculation.....
We know an Apeface is on the runway.
We think a Commander Scorponok is a possibility
So that's two Titanmaster toys. WFC II = TR II?
Commander Star Saber with a Titanmaster Brainmaster as a Jetfire retool? I saw the mid TF pic of Jetfire yesterday and thought "Hmmmm, remove the jet nose, replace with a smaller jet that TFs and fills the chest cavity"

Okay, so... a while back we got G2 Bruticus, Superion, and Menasor. More recently we got Laserrod Optimus, and two (wrong ones) Megatrons. Now we got Sideswipe coming.
So... what else do we got that we can get from relatively recent molds?
• Proper Megatron- TR Megatron • Starscream- Siege Starscream (I'm more than happy with TFSS, but I sure won't sneer at another one for people who don't have it) • Devastator- CW Devastator • Deluge- Siege Mirage • Jetstorm- Siege Mirage • RRRAAAAAAAAAGGGEEEE!!!!!!- Siege Sideswipe
• Defensor- CW Protectobots • Dinobots- PotP Dinobots • Jazz- PotP Jazz • Drench- PotP Jazz • Mirage- Siege Mirage • Leadfoot- Siege Mirage • Skram- Siege Prowl • Turbofire- Siege Hound • Ironhide- Siege Hound • Ironfist- Siege Hound • Bumblebee- TR Bee • Hubcap- TR Hubcap • Seaspray- PotP Seaspray • Beachcomber- PotP Beachcomber • Optimus Prime- Gen Select Star Convoy

It's really sad that Thunderblast has never been used again.
It's a shame, because we could have gotten a really good one from a retool of TR Scourge. Throw in Shortround from TR Seaspray, as a companion piece, and it could have been an amazing pair.

So I been thinking. If the current modular armor leaders are here to stay for the rest of "WfC" Generations, and hasbro already pointlessly blew their load with Galaxy Prime (instead of waiting for the next line), then the Optimus Prime in the next line absolutely should be RiD Optimus. Though the cab robots are different, the way the supermode armor attaches is basically exactly the same as Galaxy Optimus.
So next Generations Optimus Prime needs to be leader class RiD Optimus.

But which size should he be?

It would be nice to see a Commander, but given Hasbro are very Sunbow focused at the moment I think a Scorponok would be a Titan.

He needs to be a TR Leader, unless they use a good bulk of the Commander class mass for his tail, scorpion legs, and claws, which would reduce his height to a more reasonable TR leader size.

There are very few other characters (Fort Max, Jetfire as well), who have such varied heights in media. And Scorponok is the trickiest to fathom a 'best size' for.
I think... Commander would cover it best.

Sausage sized!
Maybe not. I'm just thinking sausages 'cos it's barbecue weather.
Dunno. I'm in two minds. Titan size would be great, because then he could face off against Fort Max. And, also, he'd be a giant scorpion, which is always cool. But how would they deal with him having no intermediate head robot, as Max does with Cerebros? They could of course just forego the normal Titanmaster pattern, given it won't actually be released as part of the TR line. Or they could invent a new, deluxe-sized robot as his head. Again, I'd love that option - I'd like to see them try something new. Even if "new" is a forbidden word in the Generations lines now.
Probably the least contentious scale would be Commander. He could then be slightly taller than normal Leaders, as should be right for Scorponok, but also not be too big to not be able to interact with any of them. And they could just use the normal Titanmaster gimmick at that size (albeit with a big hat). So that's probably what they'll go for. But what do I know..?

I've always wanted a Leader or Voyager sized Scorponok as he is the Marvel version to me. But then, a commander class would scale better with Masterpiece figures so I'd be up for that. Whatever he is - as long as he is Marvel styled then I'd buy it.
But it will probably be a Titan Class toy - I mean, who else is there left?
(Unicron please)

I think a big worry I have with the Commander Class is due to something we've seen directly from the Titan Class-
They care more about giant size, over quality of the toy. We have four unique molds in hand, and all four seem to place little value on making a great representation of the character, but instead focus on making it big as possible. The Fort Max version of the metroplex mold doesn't even have an alt mode. It's two versions of the robot, laying down. One could argue "that's G1 accurate!" But it kinda isn't. You could at least fold the legs up into pretty convincing buildings. Now he just... does the splits and they call it a new mode. Two two combiners are far worse... sacrificing anything decent about the individuals in order to make the biggest combiner possible. Which is really too big to fiddle with, won't fit in most displays, and vastly out of scale with other combiners. The individuals in both cases are pretty much so badly done, they aren't worth taking apart. Leaving you with a giant actionmaster that falls apart really easily.
I'm worried that Hasbro will view the Commander Class with the same disregard. Scorponok for example, a ComClass Scorp worries me that they will focus on making him as big as they can. As tall as Jetfire, which would take mass and stability away from things like his tail, arms/claws, and scorpion legs. He's a pretty bulky character. I worry that if they focus on making him as huge as they can only to be visually impressive, we'll end up with a low quality and flimsy product no one will enjoy.
I mean, as it is, I can kinda already see problems with Jetfire that hint at this. Such as if he were a bit smaller, his wings could have been larger and a bit more impressive and realistically sized, and had a better gun/accessories (like a proper helmet).

The fact that we will never get Siege Sixgun, Brunt, and Refraktor redecoed in white and teal as generic Cybertronian Empire "decepticons" is an absolute tragedy.

New head, new chest, new accessory, unofficial undocumented but "correct" alt mode is a computer server utilizing Refraktor's cube mode.

Build-a-Figures
I was thinking, that if Generations decided to embrace non-transforming BaFs for a while, there are enough characters out there to go for a couple years before they start scraping the barrel.
Sunbow- · Alpha Trion · Nightbird · Autobot X · Elita 1 · Quintesson Judges (maybe minifigures replacing BaF pieces)
Marvel- · Rack'n'Ruin · Xaaron · MegaRatchet Composit · Pretender Shells · Wildman Actionmasters · Liege Maximo
IDW- · Rung · Ambulon · Lost Light Megatron
Dreamwave- · The Fallen
That's all just off the top of my head. I kinda think I might prefer this over linewide themes like Siege. At least for a little while, it would be a nice break.
