When making Hyperdrive I was contemplating a combiner mode for the turbomasters, I like the thought of getting something like that.
Thunderclash works well but all the turbomasters and most of the autobot cars missing their car chests looks wrong.
Windcharger and Tailgate would work though.
But the fun will be mixing limbs, so if Bruticus and Defensor get made I imagine Streetwise and Swindle would work better as Scorch and one of the 3 turbomasters.
I'd go with
Motormaster/Prime (mixing parts if making a better) - TC
Slingshot (or Blades/Vortex) - Rotorstorm
Swindle - Scorch
Menasors legends chest piece - Boss
Streetwise - Flash
Dragstrip - Hurricane

Megatron for sure. Big Pgil's Ultra Magnus idea had legs. Shockwave? Any others? Who else would work?

Now I do like the sound of that. Combiners where the combined mode isn't humanoid. Which, yes, would be like movie Devastator. But then I liked that design. Yeah, a Piranacon that looked like Cthulu or something out of a Toho movie sounds like a kraken idea to me...

It's not without precedence. RotF Devestator was a junkyard dog, after all.
I imagine if Piranacon was in the movies, he definitely would be C'thulu based, or at least Kaiju themed.

I went back to page twelve searching for another wishlist (i know they exist, i've posted in them), but couldn't find one.
Now that 2015 will be the year of the combiners, which scratches off huge sections of most people's wish lists, what do you wish to see Hasbro focus on moving forward?
Me, I'm sure this surprises exactly no one, but I want Beast Wars!
We still have most of the show cast, and it would be awesome to see some non-show characters turn up.
Leader- Optimal Optimus, Torca, TM2 Megatron, Rampage, Depth Charge, Tigerhawk (reasoning for the last four are most of the mass goes to wings/claws)

Deluxe- Cheetor, Blackarachnia, Tarantulas, Terrorsaur, Scorponok, Wolfang, Airazor, Break, Prowl, Cicadacon, Optimal Optimus, Armordillo, Quickstrike, Razorbeast
Legends- Rampage, Depth Charge, TM2 Megatron
Repaints/remolds- (unobvious ones only)
Cybershark (Skybyte), Buzzsaw (Waspinator), Bugly (Waspinator), Crystal Widow (BA), Poisonbyte (Quickstrike), Chainclaw (Polarclaw) Catilla (Tigatron), Snarler (Razorbeast)
The point of the deluxe and legends Optimal, Rampage, DC, and Megs is to put them in scale with G1 classics.
