You'll see at AA, from the sound of things. Alternately, Hasbro will be unveiling a lot of their stuff at SDCC on Saturday. Expect galleries to be online within seconds.

JAZZ!!!!!!
He's looooong over due a proper G1ick mold. Such a great character.
Others on my list are: ARMOURED Ultra Magnus (did I mention I canceled my pre-order for that fan's version? Saw some more pics and didn't fancy it), Brawn dlx sized, Skids (one of my fave characters), Blitzwing, Springer (triple changer), and ULTRA SIZED DINOBOTS!!!! 6 member Constructicons wouldn't go amise, and just image Voyager sized Predacons forming a Predakings! *Drools*

In all seriousness, I have no particular urge for certain toys to turn up in Classics/Universe as for me the original toys still exist and that's the template for the character. They were of a certain time and that's ok. I do enjoy some of the new versions of those toys/characters but I view them as fun 'extras' and not a replacement for the originals which are the 'real thing' for me, if that makes sense. So I don't have any desire for character X to appear but if they do it's a bonus. I'll still enjoy it, but perhaps in a different way to the question this thread asks.

Okay then. Which original character do you think deserves to be reintroduced to modern kids?
Ya know, I think some of the movie cast could do with a second chance at greatness. A lot of the toys made for the film are Not Good. Hot Rod and (for better or worse) Galvatron have already been done, Blurr is in Animated and Cyclonus is apparently lined up for the 25th anniversary line, so it would be nice to see Kup and Scourge given another go.

Okay then. Which original character do you think deserves to be reintroduced to modern kids? -Nick None of them. Those characters have been and gone and every few years there is a new iteration of the 'mythos' so I'd rather the new toys/characters aimed at kids are well made, fun to play with and have character to them. I just don't look at, say, the 1986 TF Galvatron toy and the 2008 Universe Galvatron toy and equate one as an update of the other. I see them as iterations of the same theme but not the same 'character'. -Ralph

How do we know that the Cyclonus listed there is the G1 version ? He's right next to Hot Shot, the original version of which is in Armada.
AFAIK nothing's known about these toys other than what's in the Walmart listing thread.

Old characters never get any space these days its just dull archetypes. Where are the likes of Huffer, Seaspray etcetera?

The "Classics" and "Universe Classics Series" ranges have certainly racked up a few good toys for classic characters. Oh boy, they sure have. Which characters, in your opinion, should be manufactured and released next for the "Universe Classics Series" range?
Should the remainder of the "1984" characters such as Wheeljack and Trailbreaker get a showing? Or since we'll be getting a Targetmaster Cyclonus soon, should more *master characters be made?
What are your thoughts?

Off the top of my head, Red Alert would be an obvious repaint. Autobot Triple Changers would be nice, as we've had the Decepticons. '84-'86 figures would seem the best business proposition. Personally, I'd like to see less obvious characters such as Turbomasters, Triggercons, even Bulletbike (yes, that is a serious suggestion).

Headmasters for sure! But they need to include the chest stats gimmick.
Or something a little bigger like a redone leader sized Metroplex or Scorponok. I don't think these would sell well though without a supporting cartoon/film though so we can count those as wishful thinking.
A good combiner would be appreciated too, redoing them so that the legs and arms actually look like robot limbs instead of just kibble would be nice.

Pounce and Wingspan.
I'm probably going to bite the bullet and get the Japanese two pack from BBTS, but it would be great to have these two in Classics.

I suspect he means the Skywarp and Thundercracker henkei releases.
Does there need to be Classics Wheeljack ? Isn't the Energon/SL version good enough ?

The Cybertron pimpmobile 'Downshift' Wheeljack-esque toy is great, and thus survived the recent Great Purge.

There are new toys of Ponce and Wingspan??? -Ralph Not to my knowledge. It may be that dyrl means there is a set in BBTS's vintage department - they have all sorts of stuff go through there. For me I would be inclined to want a Classics Fireflight - because we now have the toy technology to do a transforming F-4 that isn't quite so horrible. A Classics Thundercracker that wasn't far outside my price range would be nice as well. Karl

Isn't there a Henkei! Thundercracker? Or am I imagining that? -Ralph There may be. I have kind of lost touch with the Henkei line now that I have had to cut back my importing of Transformers. If such a thing exists I stand corrected. And may feel I have to go hunting for one, curse you. Karl

Just to clarify, I did indeed mean a boxed G1 Japanese Pounce and Wingspan. If no one else buys it off BBTS before I shore up the funds (gonna take a while), then I was thinking of doing so I like those two. Pete

If it had been and gone you would probably still be able to see it - their search function can return stuff that has been out of production for years sometimes. Most likely it is filed in a counter-intuitive way - some of their TF stuff can take serious lateral thinking to track down. Either that or they aren't carrying Henkei! for some slightly perverse reason. A shame, that Thundercracker is somewhat tempting. Karl

Henkei @ HLJThe Thundercracker is a limited edition toy sold to a certain company in Japan (ditto Skywarp) eBay or BBTS. But you'll be paying $60 + Or you could get Acid Storm ..... (which isn't such a silly suggestion after all !)
