I'm still not feeling Skybyte.
I mean, it's so awesome he exists, and we'd never get him under Archer. But something about the toy feels entirely off. Still will buy it.

We wouldn't? Did Aaron Archer have something against Skybyte? This is interesting information.
But, likewise, I don't feel Skybyte either. But then that probably has something do with my general loathing of (Car) Robots in Disguise. It's the series that undid all the progression made by the Beast series. But that's a conversation for another thread.
Still, they both look like quite nice figures, mind. If you like that kind of thing.

Arron Archer once said he hates both skybyte and skylynx. Its somewhere in the wiki , and can try to find it if you like.
As for proper RiD, I adore that series. With Skybyte being one of my alltime favorite TFs.

Feeling a lot happier about Fansproject's Revolver Core now. I think it might be down to poor photography but Roady doesn't look quite as good as I was expecting. Sky-Byte looks like a right nasty piece of work.

He can stand on his beast back legs! And that, despite the undercarriage kibble, makes him a must-buy. Dammit.

Like Roadbuster to be sure, but similar to Sifu, he doesn't look as good as I hoped he would. Can't put my finger on it. May take another look at Revolver.

I think it's the wheels on Roadbuster. I'd prefer them hidden away like on the G1 toy, but there isn't any effort to do anything with the ones on his arms.

Roady just seems too flat. His legs have no depth and his arms have no width. I picture him as the Transformer equivalent of Arnie in Commando but this figure seems to lack and density.

As for Rattrap. I guess I can now choose between the Takara version and the Hasbro version, since it's never going to get a release in the UK... (Is it?) It's possible see Now that wave's been changed, and now is minus crosscut but includes Scoop, Centurion, Armada Starscream and FO|C Skywarp. But who knows what's going on with Hasbro UK?

But who knows what's going on with Hasbro UK? Not anybody at Hasbro UK, I'd wager... (It's Monday morning. I'm allowed one dig at Hasbro UK, aren't I? I'll stop now. ;-) )

I just get an error message from that image, Phil. Can you link to the page it came from?

Now you know me - I love my third party gear. But for once I am significantly more impressed by a Hasbro release than any third party offering. TFC's Defensor will be dead in the water methinks.
EDIT: In all the excitement, I didn't even stop to notice, they're not a combiner team. Shame.

I actually quite like the look of the "Evac Team" more than the Emergency Response Team. I think it is the choice of moulds which makes one more appealing than t'other in this case.

Interestingly Nightbeat's art shows him as the RTS Jazz mould which was strongly rumoured some time back.
