The cover of Dark Avengers 1 shows the new Avengers team:
Iron "Patriot" Hawkeye Wolverine Spiderman Ms Marvel
I've heard it suggested these might not be the real things and I'm led to wonder if [spoilers]
Iron "Patriot"= Norman Osbourne/Green Goblin Hawkeye/Wolverine = Bullseye ? Spiderman = Venom Ms Marvel = Moonstone
IE what's left of the current Thunderbolts.
Can anyone work out who the 5th member could be ?

Daken is likely to be the Wolverine figure.

Too many claws.
I said who I did because of the Skeleton connection, but now I see the cover W looks too small and thing to be him.
In fact W almost looks female !

It is interesting isn't it? I was wondering if it's something to do with Iron Man, now he's been kicked out and stuff. That's what I'm hoping for anyway!

The issue was out this week so the identity is in the public domain now. But seeing as Ian's not bough his comics:
All as we said, especially the Iron Patriot. Daken is Wolverine and Bullseye is Hawkeye. Sentry, Ares and Captain Marvel (Boy) are who they appear to be.
If you're looking for some Stark Iron Man he's in Mighty Avengers 21 this week.

Bob's an ill man. Norman's got some sort of hold over him. Wouldn't surprise me is Bob didn't blow up in Norman's face. Oh dear, what a pity, never mind.

Probably because he hasn't made much of a showing in a successful series, either solo or a team book. Sadly the Shroud is one of those characters who remains steadfastly B List, a bit like Cloak and Doohickey......
(Actually I could see him fitting in quite well in Secret Avengers - especially with the schtick that he had during his time running the Night Shift)

You never know you might see him during Shadowlands, given that it's the street level hero crossover.

Well this is good news. I kind of wish he was writing it as well, though; I gave up on Bendis' Avengers a long time ago.

I agree. At that price it's fine, but at $4 an issue I found it infuriating!

Well, maybe I could pick a good run up even cheaper at the next NCM if I can be convinced! I'm not even sure what was happening (or, not happening) when I stopped reading; it must have been after Secret Invasion as I enjoyed the issues setting up Secret Warriors, but that's about the last Avengers thing I remember reading by him.
I do miss Slott's Mighty Avengers, that was a lot of fun and didn't seem to last nearly long enough.
