I dip in and out reading Panin's reprints but I do find them good for reading big chunks of Marvel cheap and when I'm done with them a pile develops and goes to Oxfam so they're doubly useful. Also they come out on time as the material is already done!

Thor: The God Butcher (currently running in Marvel Legends) is absolutely superb. Been ages since I read a new Thor strip as good as this. Makes the JMS and Fraction runs look even more decompressed!
Legends is also running Remender's Cap run which is proper bonkers madness and recalls the spirit of Franken Castle.
Iron Man is ok but suffers from Gregg Land's plastic style. Also Tony and Pepper are far too smug.

Pah. had trouble getting the latest Avengers. In the end had to get Mum to go into the WHS in Kingston and source me a copy!
as I've said elsewhere Battle for the Atom starts in essential X-Men 7 this week.

I hope Young Avengers finishes soon. Awful. Every character has that special type of 'super-hip, super-cool' voice that no-one in real life ever uses. They also all sound the same and are insufferably smug. Doesn't help that the artist keeps trying to be clever but ends up creating a confusing mess instead.

Oh it's f***ing dreadful isn't it? I bought it in original US format and hated it. Such a shame after the earlier Young Avengers series was so so good.
There's 15 issues and issue 5 should be in the latest Avengers Universe: Another 10 to go.
Similarly Mighty Avengers last just 14 issues before it's replaced
Remember they're skipping the storyline that sets up Secret Wars to print this pish! Uncanny Avengers should be in MWOM instead of Arena, nicely boosting MWOM's readership with Avengers and X-Men fans and the Hickman stuff should be in Universe.

I am even more annoyed now to know Secret Wars joy is skipped for this YA pish. the older YA stuff was quite good until the writer decided tv was more important and stopped bothering with a schedule.

Not checked out any of the current YA stuff, sounds like I am not missing anything.

YA appears to have finished in Avengers United. Thank fuck. As has the pish Black Widow filler. Only Uncanny Avengers is currently holding my interest.
Think I'll drop Incredible Hulks when they run out of Waid issues. His stuff is great. The Jeff Loeb issues...are not. Need to free up a slot for Titan's Doctor Who Comic anyway. Marvel Legends continues to be solid: Iron Man is ok but Thor and Cap are currently tremendous.

There's more YA to come, see above, here's just the end of the first story. More Mighty too.

Noooooo. May drop the title and switch to Comixology for Avengers stuff when the current UA tale finishes. YA is just not my cup of tea.

I think the current UA tale runs for a while yet right up to the start of Axis. But it's looking like an all Uncanny issue this coming month again....

It appears as if the local newsagent has stopped stocking Avengers United. Well if they don't want my business for that I can take my business for all the Panini titles elsewhere.
Surely if someone asks for a magazine, tells you you didn't get it last month the correct answer is "we'll make sure we have next month's for you?"

You should have seen this newsagent that closed down. I went in & picked up Amazing X-men when they had the trading cards on them & they stopped stocking the comic from then on.

Avengers Universe 10: Uncanny Avengers #15-17. -Ralph Looks like it's solid Uncanny Avengers next month too. Hmmm. If that's 18-20 then they're less than a year behind the US title. Odd. A pre Original Sin clearout? Original Sin starts MWOM 13, 9 was out last week, 10 in 2 weeks time. So a few months to go yet. And I can't see much scope for Original Sin crossing over? Have they seen the error of their ways and decided to print Hickman?

More tomorrow when I can organise the issue data I have...

Right let's start with what we know:
Essential X-Men contained the following parts of Battle of the Atom
Part 1: X-Men Battle of the Atom #1 Part 2: All-New X-Men #16
we know which other US issues are in BotA, so we can guess which UK issues they'll be in
9
Part 3: X-Men vol. 4 #5 Part 4: Uncanny X-Men vol. 3 #12 Part 5: Wolverine and the X-Men #36
10
Part 6: All-New X-Men #17 Part 7: X-Men vol. 4 #6 Part 8: Uncanny X-Men vol. 3 #13
11
Part 9: Wolverine and the X-Men #37 Part 10: X-Men: Battle of the Atom #2
Beyond that...
Uncanny has 23 issues: 14 - 35 & 600 All New has 23 issues: 18 - 41
That's 46 issues.
All New's Trial of Jean Grey requires printing Guardians of the Galaxy #12-13 so that's 2 more: 48 All New is also involved in Black Vortex which requires the following extra issues in addition to 38 & 39:
Guardians of the Galaxy & X-Men: The Black Vortex Alpha #1;
Guardians of the Galaxy #24-25; Legendary Star-Lord #9-11;
Guardians Team-Up #3; Nova #28; Cyclops #12; Captain Marvel #14;
Guardians of the Galaxy & X-Men: The Black Vortex Omega #1
I can see all of this going to MWOM though...
So let's say 48 US issues as above. 48 US issues = 16 UK issues which means we'll be on at least Essential X-Men 26 before we get all Secret Warsy. Essentially we're talking August 2016. No real way round that, and that's about the time frame that Panini generally operates in front of Marvel UK.
More Avengers stuff to follow....

Right here's the last four Avengers Universe issues:
AU 7 Uncanny Avengers #11-12, Mighty Avengers #5 and Young Avengers #3. AU 8 Uncanny Avengers #13, Avengers Assemble #12 and Young Avengers #4. AU 9 Uncanny Avengers #14, Avengers Assemble #13 and Young Avengers #5. AU 10 Uncanny Avengers #15-17
Mighty Avengers has 14 issues, so 9 remaining to be printed in the UK. Young has 15, so 10 remaining.
A total of 19.
Uncanny has 24 issues, 7 remaining. Plus an annual if they fancy it.
26 issues.
Uncanny leads into Axis. 9 issues
36 US issues, 12 UK issues from now.
4 issues short of where the X-Men need to be at the same point.
They could print Uncanny Avengers volume 2, They could print Mighty Avengers volume 2, but to do that they really need to have printed a Captain America story (25) still somewhat in the future (currently printing issue 4 in Marvel Legends).
In turn that still leaves them unable to introduce Secret Wars.
There are 44 issues of Hickman's Avengers, and 33 issues of Hickman's New Avengers. 77 US issues, 27 ish UK issues. I can't see them fitting them into Avengers?
Perhaps a Secret Wars/Time Runs out Bi Weekly series starting in about 6 months timed to finish when Secret Wars starts?

More likely that Panini will do what they did with Infinity and bung it out as trades instead.
