So what do people reckon the two round things either side of PM Prime's head are? You know, the things that look like hair curlers.

They are Roller's wheels
Originally roller was going to transform into his head, that's why it is seperate and he has a compartment and ramp in the back of his truck

Also: look at the size of his head relative to what he see of his body and arm. His head is HUGE atop a tiny body!!! -Ralph To be fair, the toy head is huge too

According to that picture, the things I'm talking about are _not_ Roller's wheels.

I always thought they were extra guns - as they couldn't fit any more guns anywhere else. I remember seeing that first picture of Powermaster Prime and thinking he was packing a lot of them (like he really didn't want to be killed again and wasn't taking any chances).

This is the first picture I saw of PM Op and today it remains my favourite of him! Packing a lot of firepower here too! Oh for a version without Landmine in the way!

30 Years Ago This Week: Issue #178 The Cosmic Carnival - Part 1: As Optimus Prime fills the Nebulans in on the history of the Transformers, he is interrupted by a holographic advert for the Cosmic Carnival. Watching, he sees Sky Lynx and immediately diverts from his course to the moon to investigate. Prime and Goldbug visit the carnival and find human children being exhibited as a sideshow, unbeknownst to them the ones that previously hitched a ride with Sky Lynx. Prime demands to see the carnival owner and is taken to Mr Big Top, an octopus-like character who explains the children and Sky Lynx are working to pay off a debt. Prime and Goldbug watch Sky Lynx perform in the circus ring and go to visit him afterwards to find out more. Elsewhere, Transformation engages in some surprisingly dry humour by offering an obituary for designer John Tomlinson before revealing he isn't dead but is going freelance after working on the comic since issue 22. This in turn prompts the announcement that the comic will sport a NEW LOOK from issue #183; there's a competition to win one of 25 Return of Optimus Prime videos by identifying three random parts of Transformers; and on the back page, Peter Pez completes his recent mission to confound the dastardly Photons by, er, blowing their planet up. Bit harsh, Peter.

I know a few rank motorway shops, but I'm not sure that's what that means.
I don't think 'meets the Photons' is quite the right title for that last piece. 'Genocide of the Photons' might be more apt.
Actually, I suppose he doesn't commit the crime. The Photons cause their own downfall.

He is still guilty of genocide! -Ralph
