I turn my back on you!
Woolies Pick and Mix was AMAZING. I was loyal until the end! I especially enjoyed the white chocolate mice and the tangy chewy things.

Also pretty sure Heroes were post-Woolies. Possibly made with left over pick and mix.

30 Years Ago This Week: Issue #193 Ca$h and Car-Nage! - Part 2: The Roadjammers capture the three Autobots using their Z Foundation technology and take them back to Mr Z. In the car park under the building, they find three headless Decepticons who turn out to be Horri-Bull, Fangry and Squeezeplay. Felix reveals he has adapted the jammer and takes control of them too, using all six to take on Scorponok when Mr Z reveals himself to be Zarak. Zarak is defeated and the Autobots escape with the Roadjammers. They agree to separate amicably, but after the Autobots have left, Felix reveals he has built his own jamming technology. Elsewhere, Death's Head rescues a bunch of Berbil wannabes in a one-page promo strip that should have appeared with his promo page two weeks ago; Weetabix advertise a set of eight great ET Video stickers that can be found inside cereal boxes now; and on the letters' page, Hi-Test gets his first letter and is able to clarify that the toy advert got it wrong - his Decepticon partner is most definitely Dreadwind and not the other one.

Quick Google reveals its from the opening narration to Mad Max 2:
"On the roads it was a white line nightmare. Only those mobile enough to scavenge, brutal enough to pillage would survive"

The Weetabix promo made me realise we're now well into the sell-thru video era but loads of films were still unreleased. ET came out December '82, so this is a home video release six years later!
Do we even get this kind of promo these days? Buy a box of Weetabix and get a sticker of a screencap from ET.

Tons of untapped ongoing plot potential in the Road-Jammers story, which was sadly never continued.
Also, was this the only appearance in the comics of a non-white Nebulan?

30 Years Ago This Week: Issue #194 Club Con - Part 1: The Decepticons pacify recent unrest regarding the Transformers by offering package holidays to their island rocket base. Optimus Prime is concerned and tasks Blaster with the job of finding out what they're up to. Blaster turns to Sparkplug for an assist in getting onto the island, but it's Jessie who takes him in the hope of finding out what's happened to Buster. Jessie arrives and goes snorkling, only to find the Seacons up to no good beneath the sea. Elsewhere, the Death's Head promotional tour is in full swing with signings up and down the country and attendees are promised a free hand-painted poster by Geoff Senior; Gold Distribution Ltd advertise the current range of Transformers and Doctor Who videos for sale; and on the letters' page, Adam Chatburn of Clitheroe introduces his Lee Sullivan fan club (five members so far*), and Anon of Milton Keynes reports finding Devastator gift sets on sale for £10.99 - confirmed by Dreadwing as being imported European stock from the packaging sent in. *Stuart contacted Lee Sullivan about this for his Solar Pool blog and found that the artist sent a letter to Chatburn to make contact, but never heard back.

I think it's a bit odd that they haven't used an American cover for years, but as soon as a girl in a bikini turns up they don't only use it, but crop the image to make her bigger in the frame.
