Woah! Is that the same poster as the one you posted in the photo? That's done well; the colours are still bright and the creases look crisp.

Some of the others have wrecked corners. Do you recognise the one with the three stickers you had to add? I don’t even though I have it. It must have been with one of the earlier issues. Can’t find out via tfwiki

Yes. The poster and the first sticker came with issue 15, then the other two stickers came with 16 and 17.

Summer mission of mine is to raid the archive and find these. As the re-read of the 332 begins to draw to a close I want to make absolutely certain everything to do with the comics is brought together. There's no way I would have thrown these out, they have to be tucked somewhere in a box. I'm confused as to why only some of the posters are with the comics when I remember others so vividly being on walls then taken down and put away.

Yes. The poster and the first sticker came with issue 15, then the other two stickers came with 16 and 17. I really have no idea how I have this poster then, as my single issues start at 18 (don’t have 21, as I posted on IG, my first newsstand issue was 26, after having Collected.. 1 over the summer)

I don't know how I had that poster either as the first issue I got was #41 but the comic was popular before then at school where I read some so maybe I got the poster from another kid or at one of the jumble sales. It is lost to the ages anyway!

30 Years Ago This Fortnight: Issue #319On The Edge of Extinction - Part 1: Unicron tears into Cybertron while Primus, speaking through Xaaron, calls on the Transformers to unite. Shockwave decides the fight is hopeless and flees with Starscream. With Circuit Breaker out of action, Blackrock decides to run too, but the rest of the Neo Knights want to stay and fight. Machine Man 2020 - If This Be Sanctuary - Part 2: Previously printed in #32. Elsewhere, Transformation is excited to reveal that the next issue will contain the first part of a massive three-part poster; Fangry features in the A-Z; Colin invites readers to laugh at his underwear; and on the letters' page, news breaks that the US edition of the comic has been cancelled, but Blaster reassures readers that there is enough new material to reach the end of 1991 at least.

This was the last issue I saw back in the day. All the local newsagents had stopped getting it in pre-#300 and I had a mate who had one on order but this was the last issue his newsagent was able to get. We assumed the comic had been cancelled.
Saw some of the remaining specials and G2UK#1 in newsagents but as far as I knew Marvel TFUK ended abruptly with #319. All the other kids had grown out of Transformers.
I had no idea #320-332 existed intil I got online when I went to Uni in 1995! That was a good discovery.

I'm intrigued by the fact my copies at this point don't have a newsagent mark on them. I must have been buying this off the shelf or had a reservation.

Possibly the best Transformers comic I've ever read. And I didn't read it 'till you guys made me, when I was, like, 45 or something, whenever it was. Should have been The Movie.

If I remember correctly, my posters didn't line up very well. Nor mine. Which is one of many reasons to buy Transformers: A Visual History, which has the original painting complete as a double page spread. Martin

This was the poster Wildman redid a few years ago and sold as a whopper print. Interesting point to do a big promo like this - trying to drum up trade off the back of the draw of the story? Or compensating for the drop to nine pages of strip for the next two months?

I would absolutely LOVE to see an animated film of this story arc. I wish we had animated straight to DVD movies based on comics, like those spoilt DC fans get all the time.

Or compensating for the drop to nine pages of strip for the next two months? Well the strip was reprint material for them. The comic was still originating art for some of the covers. Perhaps there were some pennies left over in the budget from the switch to fortnightly from weekly? Who knows. -Ralph

I'll assume it was the fact that they were only commissioning original art for every 2nd cover since the switch to fortnightly as opposed to three a month. Remember there was the budget for 5 pages of monthly full colour for 333 before Neary pulled the plug.

Yes. The poster and the first sticker came with issue 15, then the other two stickers came with 16 and 17. Do you think there's any market for the issue 15 poster alone? Considering selling that and also issues 5 & 6.

I'd expect so. Me for a start as I can't seem to find mine. Is it clean or does it have the stickers on?

30 Years Ago This Fortnight: Issue #320On The Edge of Extinction - Part 2: In a bid to rid himself of Primus, Unicron atomises Xaaron's body. Galvatron taps into Cybertron's energy and attempts to blast Unicron but is swatted away like a fly. Optimus commands the main attack, but it is hopeless and the death toll begins to mount. Machine Man 2020 - If This Be Sanctuary - Part 3: Previously printed in #33. Elsewhere, Transformation announces two new comics launching this month - Havoc, a 36 page weekly featuring Robocop, Conan, Deathlok and Star Slammers, and Meltdown, a 52 page monthly featuring Akira, The Light and Darkness War, Nightbreed and The Last American; Both new comics get full page adverts, along with new Marvel Video comics from Leisure View featuring Spiderman and Robocop; There's the first part of a free three part poster illustrating Uncron's attack on Cybertron; Squeezeplay features in the A-Z; The Gigglies shock Colin by telling him he just isn't as raunchy as Mop Top; and on the letters' page, Matt Dallas of Kent would like to know just exactly what is going on with the Transformers movie sequel please, to which Blaster replies with a name like that, Mr Dallas should consider a career in acting himself!

Typical Blaster answer! He was supposed to be from the future - he could have at least told me that:
There will be another movie. I'll have to wait 16 years for it. I won't like it.

30 Years Ago This Fortnight: Issue #321On The Edge of Extinction - Part 3: Waverider, Quake and Joyride are the next Autobots to fall as Prime's command of the battle fails. He orders Scorponok to take command but the Decepticon falters, riddled with Zarak's doubts, until he decides he must do what the 'real' Scorponok would do. Blackrock is unable to resurrect his Neo-Knights and Circuit Breaker sinks further into her own robot nightmare. Scorponok attacks Unicron head on but is incinerated instantly, seconds before Grimlock flies the Ark straight into the planet eater's face, knocking him off balance. Grimlock commands the Autobots aboard the ship to attack. Prime consoles Scorponok as he dies, only then looking up to see the Creation Matrix in the air above him blast Unicron. Machine Man 2020 - If This Be Sanctuary - Part 4: Previously printed in #34. Elsewhere, Transformation announces this year's Transformers annual went on sale on July 27th featuring the text story 'Another Time, Another Place' - essential reading for all true Transformers fans; there's the second part of the big free poster; Siren features in the A-Z; Arno Stark makes his appearance as the Iron Man of 2020 in Machine Man; Colin throws down his bobble hat and gives up after being rejected by the Gigglies again; Natwest offer readers the chance to win one of fifteen Go Green! environmental awareness board games, while Robinsons offer radios in the shape of orange juice cartons instead; and on the letters' page, Blaster calms C Smith of Kings Langley by saying that although, yes, the Transformers toy range has ceased production in the US, Hasbro UK will be producing new toys for 'at least another four years'.
