I have watched the shows just after the US airdate. I think I may be a bit ahead. Coombs is in ep.18 also.

The show has turned a bit of a corner as we finally have the showing of some of the GCPD as not being completely corrupt.

Indeed. There is a sense that Gordon's example is starting to reach out to those who were more "don't rock the boat" and encourage them to consider whether maybe it needs overturning. It feels like the show has earned it too, with Gordon having suffered for his ideals but stuck to his guns it feels like he has "earned the right" as a character to start to get some traction.

Agreed. It's starting to feel like Gordons show now. Probably helps that Bruce Wayne has taken a bit of a back seat in the last few episodes.

Just watched the finale of Gotham.
I'll be interested to see what revelations we have regarding Thomas Wayne in Series 2. I wonder if we will see a Lew Moxon in flashback?

Just realised I never saw the second leg of this run (apart from the first episode back). The break just killed my interest in the show. I might try and catch up at some point though.

It's definitely stronger as the series goes on, although S2 has me worried as we will be getting Joker before he was Joker. Something not needed at all.

Season 2 has been pretty strong. They hit the ground running.
Joker is in. I don't like it. But the guy that plays him is the best joker outside of hamill. He's absolutely perfect.

So finally have this in the UK. Only a few episodes in now so please careful of spoilers. So Joker wasn't Joker and now he's dead. Good times. His laugh was definitly lifted from Hammill though and a few times he lost quality of delivery. But overall did a decent job of being a faux Joker. |

Series 3 won't be aired in the UK on tv. E4 have the rights and are kicking off with Season 4.

I mean, unless they don't have a rights package for S3 I guess. I could be that it was only S4 that they have bought and not previous seasons. But that does seem a little crazy - narratively the jump from Season 2 to whatever comes after the end of Season 3 is going to seem rather abrupt. But, on the other hand - Gotham is not entirely a show that prospers by making a lot of sense to be fair. So maybe it doesn't make the overall experience that much crazier... :-) Karl |
