Apologies, I didn't check the board yesterday on account of not checking the board yesterday.
But Mr. Phil is quite right - I have never purchased a Tigerhawk. And indeed, never saw one in the shops here, so would have been unable to anyway, even if I'd wanted to. Which I did. (Whether I would have been allowed at the time though is a whole other question.) The only place I ever saw him on sale was in a small toyshop on the Greek island of Skiathos. Which was very random. I should've pounced then, but, for hinted reasons, didn't.
I actually own very little Beast Wars, on account of not having much spare money when the line was actually out. It was released during my university years, so most of my money went on that. But I've been slowly picking up a few more over the years; the 10th Anniversary sets helped to fill a lot of holes. Maybe one day I'll get around to owning a Tigerhawk. But for now I'm happy with my nice, fresh Tigatron...

I have owned very few BW toys and currently only have the Universe repaint of Primal. I like the BW media/characters a great deal but not a fan of the toys. The Primals were good and, er, can't think of any other good ones. Um, the bat/crocodile 2-packs. Um. Think that's it.

Did you not own Tigatron's repaint Razorclaw? I had some memory you did but might have been confusing it with the Grape Ape.

I actually own very little Beast Wars, on account of not having much spare money when the line was actually out. Whereas I own most of it..... I did own all of it, bar con exclusives, at one point. Flogged loads pre wedding, regretted and rebought as much as possible. Most of what remains absent will probably not get replaced thanks to rarity (Metals Ravage £££££) or fragility (BW Grimlock GPS :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( ) It was released during my university years, so most of my money went on that. For me it was out during first real job: living at home, plenty of money, mobile to go and seek stuff out..... To this day it's a favourite toy line. It's Japanese iterations, the first TF toys to be available in Japan when the internet made getting them possible, were fab - first filling in the gaps in the UK range, then some mad repaints and finally some brilliant new toys. But I've been slowly picking up a few more over the years; the 10th Anniversary sets helped to fill a lot of holes. Maybe one day I'll get around to owning a Tigerhawk. But for now I'm happy with my nice, fresh Tigatron... So what do you own? And indeed what has anyone else got?

I used to own the full set of US/UK releases. minus recolours because that is a thing that still bothers me a little to this day (I like one of each mould, though obvs red haze..). I also had most of BWII. But alas, 19 year old me sold them all I'm now down to one small shelf. I shall dig up some images later as I am working from home today any way.

Oi, I wish Metals Jaguar hadn't been lost. I remember Hasbro really wanted to release it as part of the 10th Anniversary line. It would have been the third figure in the third wave, with Primal and Megatron. But they said the tooling was completely MIA.
I honestly think that might be the only BW mold worth rebuilding from scratch.

Gods yes, I'd love a Metals Jaguar. If only I'd know about it closer the time. And had money. Bizarre that the tooling is missing though, given that there was a Botcon Tigatron that was a repaint of that mold. Unless they lost the mold at that time..? As to what Beast Wars I *do* own, well... Ultra Optimus Primal: 20th birthday present, my first, and it got me back into Transformers. And quite rightly, too. - Airazor: Bought with some spare cash at the Beatties in the Gateshead Metrocentre. - Transmetal Rhinox: A Valentine's present, back when it seemed things were good. - Transmetal Megatron: 21st birthday present, from the same ex. Funny how things go. - Transmetal Optimus Primal: Bought with birthday money. - Quickstrike: Think that was the last TF my ex bought me, after realising she hated my hobby. We stuck together for four or five more years anyway. - Rampage: Christmas present. - Terrorgator: Bought on clearance in Woolworth's. Picked it because it looked great. And it is. - Torca: Bought on clearance at Argos. Because it's ridiculous. - Optimal Optimus: Bought when half-price at Toysaurus. Also contained the first episode of Season 3 on VHS, which was the only way to get it. And the only way that my ex allowed me to spend my money on it. No I don't have pent up issues, why're you asking? - 10th Anniversary Cheetor: Picked up by my friends when they were on honeymoon. Good friends, clearly. - 10th Anniversary Rattrap: Ditto. - 10th Anniversary Rhinox: Ditto. - 10th Anniversary Dinobot: Ditto. - 10th Anniversary Tarantulus: Ditto. - 10th Anniversary Waspinator: Ditto. - 10th Anniversary Transmutate: Thanks to all of the above. - Basics Optimus Primal and Megatron: From eBay, when I started to become properly completist. - Orcanoch: From eBay, years later, when I started to become REALLY completist about my Optimii. - Arachnid: Bought with Orcanoch, because why not? - Tigatron: My final and most recent purchase, of just two weeks ago. And I think that's it. I've got some Beast Machines figures too, and a Big Convoy. But yeah, as you can see, at the time itself I was only able to pick up a handful. I've made up for it in my collecting of other lines since... *looks at lounge floor and weeps*

Metals Ravage is the first toy I recall being boom, gone, silly money. Everything else BW Japan was easy to get, but the tail end of BW Metals..... Not so much. Ravage was an extra release - he doesn't have the standard C-D numbering IIRC...... When was Metals? Between Neo and Car Robots? Really regret selling my Ravage.

It's kinda hard to say in hindsight when metals was. Because Neo started using the Spark Crystals that the Transmetal 2s used. I think metals came between seasons three, and Beast Machines. Because BM and CR ran at the same time.
And there was quite a bit of time between Botcon Tigatron's release and BW10.

And there was an armada retool there in between them. So plenty of opportunity for the Ravage tools to get misplaced.
They may have been filed wrong because of Tigatron.

A Transmetal-type Ravage. I don't think it's the expensive one you're all talking about. Got cold Chrome on him.
Magnaboss
Magmatron
Grey Owl Prowl Black Owl Prowl The kids love 'em. We all play with them frequently. I had double, triple, that at one point, but streamlined. All bought as an adult. Totally passed me by as a younger person. Didn't like them in fact. It was only when I joined The Hub that I saw The Light. They're just darn good toys.

I'm rather fond of it, TM2 Cheetor was one of the first toys I ever trans Atlantic traded for. I can see what they're trying to do here, with a distorted cheetor with robot parts bursting through.

Transmetal Rhinox (god that thing's ugly) I've never minded TM Rhinox. There's worse toys out there. Speaking of which .... Fox Kids TM Rhinox (still ugly) An absolute car crash of a recolour. Several of the FK toys give it competition but this is probably the worst. UK Video Spittor UK Video Clawjaw (both of these are on my holy grail list) Do you want us to keep an eye out? I probably ought to find a pair for myself as I was he one that broke news of their existence to an unsuspecting world. Toy-Fu gets at least one every year. Has this got difficult to obtain?
