Optimus v Megatron Quick sub 10 mins digital sketches in Manga Studio and photo shop.
I wanted Optimus Prime to be shown as bursting with energy as he plays host to the Creation Matrix, hence the vents in his faceplate. Megatron with his link to the stable black hole for anti-matter is contained in his cranium so he has no face and I think that it makes him a little bit more terrifying.
The idea of Megatron looking like that comes from a discussion Ralph and I had about the evolution of the Cybertronian form from non-humanoid to the bipedal configuration we see.
