Guesstimates range from 16-18 inches. A fair bit bigger than CW Superion who's 12 inches high. I see this going all WWE in the comics. Superion & Defensor lay the smackdown on Menasor only for DEVASTATOR to enter the ring in a shower of fireworks... the double team prevails after a titanic struggle, but the heroes are down, oh man are they down - and just as the PPV ends, Jim Ross (does he even still do wrestling commentaries?!) goes MENTAL as BRUTICUS crashes the ropes and obliterates the pair of them. The crowd goes wild and we pick up the story on Monday Night Raw.

Companies need to stop with this fucking silhouette nonsense. This is funny though as the press release already shows the proper toy image! -Ralph

I'd missed that the rrp for Devastator has been announced at $150. Given we did get Metroplex here I wonder what chance there is of him getting a UK release. No electronics to bugger up this time.

So the RRP in the UK will likely be £150 bucks at least. If there's no electronics we should be okay, just hope he passed the drop test. Damn our tougher toy safety standards! Andy

It looks an awful lot like Longhaul has no elbows. Just transformation hinges that swing in towards his body.
Also, I seriously do not understand Mixmaster's alt mode. I'd think it was displayed backwards, except that the wheels are set as though the back is the front. I seriously don't think cement mixers work this way. I'm not even sure they can? I know every one I've ever been around the spout pours out the back, not over the cab.

I've seen lots of pictures the last few days showing that they do exist Google Image search for Front Pouring Cement MixerBut I don't get it either, it's an attempt to be different for difference sake when the older more familiar design would work better.

Holy cow! I've literally never seen one of those! Okay, I feel marginally better about him now. But yeah, I agree. This really does feel like being different to be different, which feels so off when every other figure plus Dev are pulled straight out of 80's fiction. I'd feel better about it if the others hadn't been so slavish. I'd also feel better if he were a standalone toy, like Scoop. (I know, not a constructicon, but just an example)

Scrapper and Hook sure don't look like they have any arm articulation at all, outside of shoulder joints. I noticed this taking close up screen grabs off my iphone to text to a friend who can't get to a comp anytime soon.

I noticed this taking close up screen grabs off my iphone to text to a friend who can't get to a comp anytime soon. There has been a fair amount of discussion about this, people at the show have said the articulation is limited on the individual robots. I guess it's part of keeping the cost at the $150 mark, or ensuring the strength of the combined mode. I don't think you could argue it's to further preserve the homage to the originals.

I could argue that they should have been deluxe sized and preserved the articulation, though. The CW bots don't have an issue with articulation and strength of the combined mode. At least the aerialbots and ultra prime don't.
I can do without a lot of articulation that most others think is mandatory (I roll my eyes anytime someone complains and rates a toy as a failure simple because it doesn't have ankle tilts). but elbows are part of my essential packet, and the more expensive and larger it is, the less I'm willing to overlook it. Elbows, shoulders, knees, and hips are my essential articulation points on everything larger than a legion. (and I'm not even necessarily talking about full range ball joints, either. Look at an oldschool toybiz X-Men figure, like Wolverine or Cyclops. The artic on those made me happy, and still do)

I'm not fussed about ankle tilts either, but elbows and a waist are required to give some degree of dynamic posing possibilities. Not that I'll be having them in individual modes most of the time, mind. Which I guess that is why those are the flexible corners that were cut...

So much goodness. This year Hasbro are putting out an entire toy collection in itself. I notice the box for Devastator says 18"/45cm in combined form. That's probably been said, but I hadn't clocked it. That's biiiig.

Yeah. Almost too big. When the first sighting was posted a few weeks back they were described as looking like up sized deluxes and that really is accurate. Without a comparison I still cant think of them as voyagers.
Whatever size they are Im thinking I'd have preferred them a bit smaller at the same price, but with improvements to the moulds for example, better elbow joints on at least two of them.

Without a comparison I still cant think of them as voyagers. I quite like it. I like the whole idea. They're big and stupid. Simple, but they thump hard, mega hard when they combine. I foresee some excellent fights between this lot and my Planet-X Dinobots. Devastator vs the Dinobots! happy days!

Erm, Devastator's upper arms look ridiculously skinny in those pics. The main body of Scavenger coming away from his treads. Is that where the articulation is? 'Cos, I'm not happy about that. Tiny arms Tiny arm Tiny arms!!!

Tiny arms Tiny arm Tiny arms!!! Yeah the way both arms are hinged out at top of the shoulders just look wrong. Ditto the odd elbows on the limb bots mentioned earlier. You feel there's some elements of compromise in the details on this one.

It'll be fine. Look at the publicity pic. He looks fine with his arms by his side, and there is always the possibility that the one on display was mis-transformed. That hinge looks tiny to hold his whole arm out. Scavenger's cab should rotate on his tracks in vehicle mode right? So Devastator's arm will rotate there too. Don't panic about it yet.Edit - actually, scrub that, the other picture shows it doesn't actually attach like that. Yep, okay, time to run around screaming.
