We're still both fine symptoms wise so probably clear but I'm not having a good mental health day.

Got a bit of a kicking in the OU Careers Advisor consultation yesterday, which knocked me a bit. My CV is not up to snuff apparently so I have redrafted it this morning and sent it off to them for comments. They did identify a job that could be good for me with closing date of the 5th July which needs a CV and 1000-word statement so worthwhile getting my CV checked.
Sent off for a summer intern thingy and a casual working from home admin type thing so will see if anything comes back from there in a couple of weeks.
Mental health very up and down. Not having a job is not good for me nor is the long wait for my 2nd covid jab on the 17th of July. Getting up before 9/10am remains a challenge. Weight gain also really getting me down.
I have decided that I can't face going back to doing dead-end Support Worker jobs I grew out of years ago for the sake of my health and self-development. This is a positive move forwards though it does leave me clueless as to what to do now.

Bit of channeling please.
Gran's panic alarm went off at 1am and they called us. She had a bit of a fall and was short of breath. She seemed okay when we left.
Dad is back up there now to check on her so awaiting updates.

Thanks all.
A combination of an inner ear infection and failing leg strength. Going to sort out a wheelchair for her now. Her idea.
She is better today though.

And an ambulance has been called as she's not feeling right and unable to get out of bed.
Elder T is with her now...

Hopefully it is 'just' the ear infection making her feel unwell.

I had concerns about her shortness of breath on Monday, She's been taken to the Vic and her oxygen levels were low, but how much of that is due to panic I don't know.
Got to give it a couple of hours and then phone for an update.
I am not blessed with patience.

Much channelling required. Next week is a BIG one.
Tuesday 20th: find out if I passed the most recent OU module so I can proceed to my last one for the degree. The module result for this is touch and go as I struggled with results a lot due to my health
Wednesday 21st: Check in with GP. At 12 noon I get sent a 'pre-interview' task for a job. It is timed and I have 35 mins to do whatever it is and send back. Not a clue.
Thursday 22nd: panel interview at 9am-10am for said job. I've never done an interview remotely on video before. Not sure what to do. Also worried the connection falls off (it does sometimes when on a video call). Headset in the post. It's a different type of job that I haven't done before so amazed I've got this far. It's the first interview I've had since my last job finished in December and my health collapsed.
Friday 23rd: 7pm: wedding rehearsal.
Saturday 24th: 11am. GETTING MARRIED!!!!

I've now booked for an OU Careers Seminar on how to video interviews and have also booked a telephone consultation with a careers advisor on the 21st, about an hour before I get the unknown task timed task to do.

Using the OU's AI tool to practice video interviews. Ye gads, I am, shite at them. I'm good in a room with people for an interview but on cam...shite.

You'll get it, Doc'. Takes a bit of practice. I was the same with Teams at first. Second nature now.

Passed most recent OU module and a higher grade than expected as the EMA seemed to pull it up a bit at the end. Thank fuck. Now I can proceed to the last module in September so degree is done this time next year.
Shitting bricks about the video interview.

The degree will be an important achievement in your life.
All job interviews must be approached as potentially important, but many are not in the long run, you just don't know at the time. Some interviews are just good practice for more important ones coming afterwards. Give each your best shot and move on.
(Easier said than done, I know.)

Had a chat with careers advisor who has done the role I applied for about specifics of job. I...don't think it will be good for my health but I'll do the interview anyway. Practice.

Well after that performance I don't think I have to worry whether it's the right job for me or not. Crashed and burned big time. Zero rapport established, constantly flustered and gave very generic answers as kept forgetting to give specifics. The interview also under ran somewhat. Oh well.
