Ah, bless.
He was supposed to be at the London Film and Comic Con last year which Bob Budiansky and Larry Hama attended, but pulled out. Larry Hama spoke of him as if they were a double act as far as defining G.I. Joe was concerned.

Sad to hear of his passing, and while I had dipped in to Transformers comics, it is 37-40 that really cemented my absolute love for the Marvel comic.
He shall be missed.
