W5 has teamed up with the Transformers fans at Opticon for a weekend event celebrating Transformers.
The highlight of the weekend will be the appearance of Transformers comic creators Nick Roche and Simon Furman. Nick and Simon will be meeting visitors, sketching, signing and doing lecture theatre talks and interactive workshops throughout the two days.
Nick will also be here to launch an exhibition of his Transformers art in W5’s Level 5 Gallery with 22 large backlit images on display.
The Opticon fans will be staging a small display of collector’s toys and figures for the weekend. Also on display will be the incredible life size Optimus Prime bust, created by the Transformers fans at D-Signs and Displays.
Costumer Brian Campbell will be making appearances throughout the weekend in his amazing ‘Ironhide’ costume and Wee Gamers invite you to play along with some great Transformers and robot themed tabletop games.
