A proper Muppet TV show, it's been far too long.

I just love Gonzo. Hands down my favourite Muppet.
But yes that is a good shirt.

I am indifferent about Gonzo. Swedish Chef is by far the most glorious of the Muppets. Any Muppets production which does not give him a good appearance is a poor Muppets production.

I must admit I am liking the look of this. It has the self-awareness and "fourth wall porosity" which was a trademark of the original show, and the trailer seems to have a lot if fun playing around with the various regulars. (And it has a good Bob joke and the Swedish Chef). Yay for a new Muppets TV show!

Your indifference to Gonzo, is an affront to decency.

Well that was... subtle. A slow start, hoping it's a grower. Not enough Gonzo. Best jokes used in the trailer.
Stomskette was surprised by the appearance of some adult jokes. Where do we stand on this? I'd have preferred them to be a little less obvious.

Well, Muppets were always intended for a more mature crowd. While Jim Henson didn't want to exclude kids from the audience, he always skewed to an older audience.

Nice Back to the Future ref in episode 2 to coincide with 21st Oct. Other than that I was still a little disappointed.
Episode 3 much better, let's hope it continues.
Oh and no Walter is a bonus.

Statler and Waldorf voices in Treasure Island are the worst.

Disclaimers like that aren't unusual on Disney+. A lot of old Disney productions feature depictions that, rightly so, wouldn't be considered acceptable if made today. Think of, for example, the crows in Dumbo or "Chinese" characters (played by Peter Ustinov and Bernard Bresslaw) in One Of Our Dinosaurs Is Missing; Peter Pan is very bigoted. I think it's good that Disney use such disclaimers, putting productions into context and raising issues, rather than sweeping it under the carpet and ignoring it, or censoring productions.

The Looney Tunes Golden Collection DVD sets had these kind of disclaimers spoken by Whoopi Goldberg more than a decade ago, as an alternative to censoring the historic cartoons.
