You can sing the name of this thread to the tune of "what do we do with the drunken sailor". If you want to... I have.
The recent electronically communicated photographic pictures of Combiner Wars DEVASTATOR have dispelled any lingering energies of The Fear that I have had over this figure. OOOOOHHHH MAAAMMMMAAAAAA. I will be getting one.
So, I ask my fellow owners of third party Devastators, what are you going to do with yours? Sell them on? Keep them? I love my Green Giant, but Combiner Wars looks like it's the Devastator of my dreams. I don't need two Devastators, surely. Curious what my cyber-pals think to this predicament and what you are, if anything, planning.
Heh, we never saw this Devastator coming did we?!

Well, the only 3P dev I have is MT's G2. So I'm good.

Maybe Hasbro could do a masterpiece Devastator set with the tracks moving on Scavenger, Scrapper, Bonecrusher.
I've only seen pictures of the 3rd party toys so can't really comment on if you should keep them.

Shave their bellies with a rusty razor, I'd say. Although that may affect the resale value.

Or as joint washers *stares balefully at his original Jetfire*... But yes, Rubber has an unfortunate tendency to harden and become brittle far faster than plastic. Which means that it will pretty much always be the first thing to go. Karl

Could you do linked metal treads? This would add £150 to the price I expect. Mainly due to making them. Dunlop wheels are ok on original Bumblebee so should be ok for wheels for Longhaul.

You could, but as you observe it would be incredibly expensive both in basic manufacturing costs and in having to pay people to assemble the limbs. There is also the problem that if they get stripped from the running wheels by accident they would be horrendously difficult to get back on.

We should put all the 3P Devastators on a remote island and if anyone wants them they have to negotiate a serious of deadly logic puzzles to reach them.

We should put all the 3P Devastators on a remote island and Nuke them from orbit cos it's the only way to be sure?

Full marks to the Doctor for an awesome G1 reference. I loved that story - can't believe I didn't think of it myself. :-)

Lego have some nice plastic treads but they're a bugger to assemble

Back to the question at hand... really you people have been very little help whatsoever.
I don't know what to do with my Green Giant!!!
Once I get CW, Green Giant will just sit in his box. I know this. Or do I? Perhaps I don't... Or do I?

Maketoys has better individuals. Use them for uncombined, and CW for Dev.

AAARRG-
That's a really good idea! Really Good! I could just get the cheaper Hasbro Devastator then! And not have to worry about the superior Takara individual figures!!! WOOOOOOO!!!!
I love you, CJ. You maybe my favorite American. You're certainly my favorite Texan!
