Why does this look so much better than the bog standard Prime release? That toy looked so bad I didn't even buy it, but this looks fantastic.

Black repaints always look good.
But of the 4 versions, standard Prime is definitely the worst. Velocitron Laser Prime, as you saw, is also a huge improvement.

I did this with Grand Scourge didn't I. Ignored it thinking, nah, don't want that. Then regretted it. That configuration without the towers on his shoulders and the wings out makes a huge difference to the look.

I will have the Armada Megatron that went with that one some day. The only Tokyo Toyshow exclusive I have is the Elite Guard Animated Prowl because he looks so cool in white.

I don't think I need that, thankfully.
I do still need Godbomber but as they have largely sold out Im gonna sit back and wait to see if it shows up in one of hte boxsets, its reissues or a second hand one appears cheap enough on Yahoo Japan maybe.

That's it in Japan I think. Oh and the head set and the forthcoming God Ginrai with Cab & Minerva.
In the US there's SDCC Max, SDCC Titanforce, Walgreens Brainstorm, TRU Chaos on Velocitron, BBTS Siege on Cybertron, where the Orion Pax is going and the black PM Prime seen this morning.
There's also the clear Max Sword available in various places.

What am I looking at?  One is the hasbro Sixshot titanmaster, one is the takara. The head that looks like a dumbass naruto reject is the hasbro, while the titanmaster in robot mode that looks like sixshot is takara. |
