Pinwig laments the fact Battle Beasts are quite expensive on the secondary market and he didn't know about that game that came out recently that used actual Battle Beasts as the pieces.

I forgot to mention actually, TFW2005 user Payres got name checked on Shattered Cast Uncut last week as being the news credit for the sticker sheet observation. Always nice to hear a familiar name on a podcast.

Browsing the thread, I noted the lack of enthusiasm for Greatshot. I love and will have him. Preordered. Love the character and the fact that the mold was later retooled for Brave. I love the late Japanese Transformers which went in the super robot direction.

I have to admit I lose my enthusiasm for late G1 japanese designs, because they stop looking like teansformers, and start looking like generic japanese robots.
I like Great shot better than the Quickswitch repaint, though.

I agree except I love generic Japanese super robots and am happy to see some as official Transformers. This is why I really like Victory :-)

Given where Takara is going with their take on PottoP - which is to say not doing one at all - do we think that there's any chance that they'll actually get around to releasing the TR Metalhawk now? I'd always thought that they would, given what they had been doing, but now... I'm kicking myself for not getting that Siege on Cybertron set.

It would make sense if it did. They're going to want to continue exclusives through the mall route because it's clearly popular and in recent years has been their route for capitalising on moulds through repaint releases. Hasbro seem to be lining up exclusives like Blast Off so they can hardly deny Takara.
It would make sense all round to exclude exclusives from this new ALL MUST BE THE SAME mandate.
Imagine a world without Combobats.
