Takara is so obsessed with homages, I never saw them doing new characters. I thought this was gonna be another mixed generational and faction combiner. I think someone though got their wires crossed. Megatronia seems more appropriate for Female Megatron pyra magma repaint, while Megaempress seems more appropriate for the combiner. |

It occurred to me that they'd been on the G2 Juice. Something a bit neon about those colour choices, almost as if they've copied their favourite packet of highlighters.

UW Grand Galvatron was odd enough with its non-G1 characters, but to have a whole set with all new characters... that's just not Takara's MO at all. But on the other hand, it's not a bad thing either. I quite like this set. And it really is the evil universe Victorion. With better colours, too. I still probably won't swing for it, given the price. But it's different, and I like that. |

She follows the same principal of G2 decoes.
A really, really dark color (in this case black), with a really bright color in contrast. Which gives the "neon" effect even though G2 NEVER USED NEON COLORS.
Megatronia offers a lot of potential for shelves.
You can take her at face value, you can repurpose her as SG Victorion, or you can repurpose her as G2 Victorion.

I'm not sure about the peach for an arm. It's similarity to the pink is drawing the eye top left. Both colours are fine, it's just the togetherness. I didn't know I needed a grey female Megatron fire engine in my life till this morning.  Oh bugger: The face in the chest is much more obvious now And now you can't not see it either! |

I am........conflicted. I like the idea of it. I like the general look of it. Megaempress is outstanding, if they sold it individually I'd be first in line. On their own the colours on each figure are good. CJ is right though, the names on Megatronia and Megaempress are the wrong way round and I don't like the colours on the combined bot. That's just personal preference, I like a designated team to look uniformed.
I've got too much coming up so the price will prevent me getting it anyway.

Not quite what I was expecting, but that looks rather splendid. I think I will have to have that. Very unique colour scheme. I like!
In other news, balance request for Unite Computron paid to TFE! Usually means less than two weeks to delivery. Can't wait!

UW Computron is now available at HLJ, in stock. I just got charged for my preorder.
Dealing in Yen can be harrowing, as I got a message from paypal that I got charged ¥22k, and started to have a minor heart attack before I remembered that's "only" around $200.
Very much ouch when I can't really afford it, but not as frightening.
(Why do preorders *only* come in when you're strapped? I mean it can be three months LATE. But they always wait until the worst time)
