It will, this'll be the Feb release, Megatronia is December.
Generally the f***ing silhouette tease for the toy in 2 releases time shows up around the point the current release is due. Sky Reign is out in a week or so, and I really must chase Kapow for an invoice for it!

DECEPTICONS COMBINE!
RUUUIIINATION AWA KENS!
So that's what it is - I'd seen people retweeting about it on Twitter but none of them said what it was. Nice, not a repaint I had expected to see - I'd have expected Battle Gaia colours before Vuldigus, but I aint complaining. (Urban Camo version next summer please Tomy).

Sky Reign is out in a week or so, and I really must chase Kapow for an invoice for it! Turns out they'd invoiced me on the 12th and I hadn't received the email notification. Wasn't till I logged into Paypal to check something else that I realised! So if you're waiting for an invoice too, log into Paypal and check!

Finally some more decepticons to go against the numerous autobot combiners we have.

The line up for Unite Warriors is pretty even: Superion vs Menasor Defensor vs Bruticus Optimus vs Galvatronus Computron vs Megatronia Lynxmster vs Baldigus throw in CW and the Decepticons take the lead G2 Superion vs G2 Menasor Victorion vs G2 Bruticus Liokaiser Predicus

And Devastator, don't forget.
I'm still tempted by Megatronia. But I think she'll be a purchase from a random place next time I'm in Singapore, if deals are on. And if I can afford anything abroad by then...

Devastator doesn't count as a CW combiner, as he doesn't combine with them. He's CW in that he was released under that sub-heading of Generations. But he's not the same kind of gestalt as the other combiners.

I meant finally as in megatronia and ruination added together.
Forgot about my Galvatronus too

But he's not the same kind of gestalt as the other combiners. He was released under the "Unite Warriors" imprint, therefore he counts for Phil's list. :-P But yes, I see your point. :-)

I don't understand how a CW combiner doesn't count as a CW combiner but hey ho different strokes for different folks.

Devastator is very much a special one off release that isn't compatable with the other toys, hence me not mentioning it. Would you include Devastator in The Special Teams?
Including it does further tip the overall weighting towards Decepticons though!
AND YET STILL NO DECEPTICON JET COMBINER!

Just because it has CW on the package, does not make it a CW combiner. Pipes, two Megatrons, Ultra Magnus, and three Seekers are also Combiner Wars, but are not Combiner Wars Combiners.
CW Combiners are made of torsos and deluxe limbs that are all completely interchangeable. Devastator is not compatable with this specific system that makes CW Combiners unique. It is a CW combiner in that it was released under the Combiner Wars banner, and is a combiner, but it is not specifically a CW Combiner. Now if you could pull off Scrapper and Bonecrusher, and swap them out with Dead End and Smokescreen, while making Scrapper Bruticus' leg and Bonecrusher Optimus Maximus' arm because they use the same connecting system, then I would agree that yes, he is an actual CW Combiner.
The G1 comparison is a good one. You guys don't consider the constructicons or the pretender monsters to be "Special Teams" specifically because they cannot interact within the Scramble City combining system.

I think one of the major failings of CW is that Devastator can't limb swap with the others. I can see making Devastator's limbs G1 accurate AND be able to be both arms & legs a problem so if Devastator's limbs could only attach with Scavenger & Bonecrusher only forming CW arms and Mixmaster & Scrapper only forming CW legs that would be enough for me.

I *completely* agree. And there would just be so much more benefits, too. Selling five/six (i would consider Hook/Long Haul to be one voyager set, honestly) identically colored construction vehicled individually would be suicide, so the Devastator gift set is a good compromise. But making it a CW Combiner would also open up the molds for easier use in the repaint/retool department.

Oh I agree with all those points. I was just being pedantic. ;-)
But aye, the originals I would not consider to be SPECIAL TEAMS! Although I would consider Monstructor to be a "special" team...

I don't disagree with anything said, but it's worth pointing out we wouldn't consider Devastator a Special Team not because he can't limb swap with scramble city toys, more because he wasn't badged as a Special Team.

Alas, given my well-documented lack of love for CR/RiD this will not be for me. Still, it's nice that they're doing it. Even if that does make it the fourth (?) Bruticus now. Which might be too much for some...
