Bit bland in robot mode.
Is there an obvious Rodimus retool here? Or would it be too narrow? Plus cockpit on chest doesn't really fit.

Ditch the headmaster and engineer it with a proper head, and it'd make a hellacious Cheetor. Give it a new head, and it'd be a decent Override.

Woah hold the phone, I just noticed something. His gun is an exact duplicate for the standard seeker nullray/arm cannon. And where it's mounted in car mode LOOKS like it can attach to his upper arm (or at least Forearm). Looking where his cockpit is in his chest, and a couple other design elements... Maybe he has a heavy retool as the tetrajet seeker planned?

was trying to figure out the conversion but was being thrown off by the insignia. Looks like it swaps ends and orientations on his cockpit between vehicle and robot, which would indicate two seperate prototypes photographed (Look at the deep blue hinge and shape of the canopy in relations to it).
From what I can figure the cockpit becomes the torso, the legs become the rear, and the hood ends up on his back. From that conversion, an extremely heavy retool could become Misfire.

And misfire would not be too different from the typical pre-earth seeker design.

It's heavily rumoured that Blurr's remold will be Brainstorm.

Yeah, but I hope that rumor stays just a rumor. It'd be boring as hell on multiple levels. Partly because we just got a pretty dang good (if not a tad oversized) Brainstorm, and mostly because Brainy and Blurr have the same color palette. Though that does explain why Blurr's colors are so screwed up, which irritates me if Brainstorm is the reason why.

The last Brainstorm even already had the same gimmick. A new one would be so superflous at this point.

Not if he was the same size as Chromedome, Highbrow and Hardhead

Maybe... horror of horrors... he wan't designed with *anyone* else in mind. After all, who can they possibly get out of Skullcruncher and Hardhead?

Skullcruncher: Krok, Beast Wars basic Megatron, that odd Optimus Aligator thing in the cartoon. Iguanus if they added a frill
Hardhead: name your tank

I think it's safe to assume most figures are designed with two or more uses in mind.
Though maybe the extreme reuse of CW molds bought them a little more room in TR to chill with the reuses a bit?
That said, I do fully expect Takara to put out Skullcruncher with Optimus's headmaster as gatorprime. Hasbro, not so much.

Not if he was the same size as Chromedome, Highbrow and Hardhead Yes! We must have the four horsemen of the apocalypse! No wait, the four warriors from the sky! The most exciting prospect for me from this line. Two years ago I'd never have believed Hasbro would get there before the third parties.

When we first saw Sentinel Prime at New York we looked at it and listed half a dozen other things he could become. I suspect he'll end up being the Alpha Bravo of Titans Return

My wallet says these really oughta, be quite late in the second quarter. I need to finish combining wars, before I open Titan doors.

To absolutely no-one's surprise (provided you've all been paying attention to me - and why wouldn't you..?), I am overjoyed that they're going with the IDW-esque aesthetic for Chromedome.
Scourge and Mindwipe also look like they might be good. And Alpha Trion..? Didn't see that coming. But I can finally stop hoping that the old Vector Prime Botcon repaint might come up cheap on eBay...

But I can finally stop hoping that the old Vector Prime Botcon repaint might come up cheap on eBay... First thing I thought when I saw the Trion was 'well, that will become Vector Prime later on'. Although I'm not convinced I'd want an IDW Chromedome. The head? Fine, nice head. But the body would really look out of place next to what we've seen of the rest of the line. So far, the Decepticon Headmasters (traditional) are winning this line for me. Which makes a nice change, I must say!

It also looks like they'll be coming with stickers, which might explain why Blurr looked so bland.
